View Full Version : Introduction music seems to bother people,
When i start the game, you get this introduction movie. The first part sung by The exile, seems to bother alot of people. Some say it doesnt fit street fighter at all. The second part however seems to grab alot of people, and personnaly i think this is the ultimate street fighter tune ( i think alot agree with me) Im hoping we can hear that second part alot more in the game.
The 2nd part i mentioned is also the tune you hear on the ps3 version when you let your XMB stand on the game .

I play the SF3 theme.......
Its partly ignorance and partly setting the mood, ive heard worse music elsewhere.

Yeah the intro music is abismal, not just as a Street Fighter theme or even a game theme, just as music in general. Rather than get me exited for the game it got me worried that the game was gonna be full of weedy crap music like that or worse still that the whole game was going to be as poorly judged as the intro. Luckily the rest of the music is fine (pretty good at times) although I would rather have heard mainly remixes of the old tunes to go with the original SF characters. Its a heavy, fast, brutal game so I would expect the music to match but the intro is the opposite.
After Id listened closer to the intro theme, its not the actual music I hate, thats not too bad at all, its just the cringeworthy vocals and even more cringeworthy lyrics being sung, I think I read in the credits that those were added by someone else other than the composer of the tune (?), Ive no idea how or why that could happen like that on the opening video of such a superb game. Ill probably never watch the whole intro or hear the later music that is supposed to be better, its not a major thing, just an odd decision and wasted opportunity, the SF2THD Remix intro theme is great, they shouldve done something along the same lines with SF4 IMO.

I kind of like it now...and a few people who I spoke to actually ended up liking it after a while, too! Probably because its in the menu and plays during battle at some points as well. The second half music plays in the volcano stage, just so you know.

The volcano music is awesome, but the main theme is terrible. Really cringe worthy.
Well yeah. You can like the theme song, but i think it just doesnt fit street fighter.

today, I was playing with the old SF2 arcade themes. MUCH better.
The first time I heard the music, I laughed. The second time I heard it a friend commented on it being ..totally inappropriate!
Subsequently, the more I hear it, the more I love it and today I found myself, whilst in work, happily (and with wanton abandon!) singing .. nothings going to stop me now, Im in-de-strucable.. You probably think Im sad and if so I care not. Im like a giddy 17 year old in the early 90s playing SFII in the arcades. I cannot believe how much Ive played this since I bought it on Friday (ALL weekend!). I feel (almost) like Im in the same space and time, only this time Im in 2009 and sitting in my living room fighting my mates who are sitting in their respective console rooms. Ive not shouted out loud in shock/pleasure/dis-belief/anguish/excitement/glee/satisfaction at a console game since I was in my teens.
The music to me is perfect. It may even be a ...blue blue skies..., Daytonas theme tune beater.... ;) b)
I sing this song in the lobby (the japanese version) and people tend to think Im retarded in some way.
ps:I hate this song btw, its just funny singing japanese pop songs in lobbies.

I dont know what the big fuss is about, I think this music is quite jiggy. :d

I dont like Indestructible because it just doesnt seem to match. The second part of the theme is awesome though.
I love Exiles the next door, especially with the english lyrics!

First I want to say hi at all ^^!
At first I also didnt like it, but after a while I cant get the song out of my mind :d ! Oh and the japanese version is much better ^^!
