Hey guys, I don't think I was the only one who was completely gutted by the news of Project Zero 4 being cancelled in some areas.
However, later on, I found out that the japanese copy of the game can be played on UK Wiis and a completely legal translation patch has been released for download onto an SD card.
I was, of course, ecstatic :)
Now, my problem. The japanese version seems to be out of stock everywhere I look. Can anyone find me a direct link to a site that is known for being secure, which has it in stock please? A direct link to the game would be nice, but just a link to the site is fine, if you can't be ar**d :)

Because if it is, then the game has at least 4 names:
Zero: Tsukihami no Kamen
Fatal Frame IV: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse

Project zero 4
Yeah, that's the game. That's also where I tried to buy it first of all. No luck, of course :(
That's weird, you'd have to search for all those different names. Maybe ebay?
Try google to look for ebay japan I think they usually have a translation option and I'm sure someone will have no probs shipping it to you.
If you bought stuff like films from Hong kong via ebay you could get the person selling those to look up the game over there, thats what I did many years ago looking for rare martial art films, I'd just email the guy and he was kind enough to go look for me in HK for anything I needed disk wise. You need a contact. Unfortunately I haven't spoken to this guy for oh ten years or so.
In fact now that I think about it your local Computer Exchange might import stuff for you.

Once myself and Lindsey have the money to get a card for the Wii, and to import the game we'll be doing so.
Lindsey is a massive fan of the Project Zero games, and was so angry that it didn't get a Western release.
I've heard that number 4 doesn't live up to the original 3 games, but we want to play it anyway.

I currently have a 4 year old 256mb one in mine. I have them coming out of my ears.

Anyhow, Zero 4 is pretty good, still haven't finished it. I found the flashlight weapon switch a bit weird at first though. The patch is fine, some grammatical errors and sometimes line text goes clean off the screen but it's very playable.
I'd import it right away if you can, the patch did nothing but drive up the price of the game.
Edit: oh just remember that the retail game has a bug where you can't collect all the ghost pictures, if you're a stickler for that thing.

I was thinking about that, but I think the 512 is broken now, and the other two are 4gb... not that expensive now, but I paid £40 each for them when they were the biggest cards available. Girlfriend managed to break one and I have 2 left.
Sucks, the 256mb is pretty much stuck in the Wii now, and I don't want to part with the 4gb's. If you guys can't find a good deal though, let me know and I'll see if any friends have some to give away :)

If you're really stuck I have a few 2gb cards knocking around I don't use.
Anyhow, make sure you don't update your Wii before playing the game.

So, I've just tried downloading the patch onto my SD card, but the site keeps saying error 404 (check the link in a previous post). Anyone have any idea of an alternative? Or if this page will be back up soon?
EDIT: Turns out that they are not sure why the site isn't showing. They think it may be a server crash. Another day or two to wait, methinks...
