What's going on in yours?
Just figured this place doesn't have a topic where people can either rant about daily annoyances in life or praise those rare good days. In fact I saw this topic on another forum I go on, some really funny and interesting replies come out of it.
Anyway, I just got back from a physiology lecture, got in 5 mins late because of the bus. Our class is too crowded and, I could barely see the lecture notes. Not the best lecture, thank god for WebCT. :D
What's WebCT?
I played loads of videogames on the weekend; I've been trying to get the golds on Trials HD. THen I downloaded Ikaruga and failed a bit (I was a bit drunk at this point), and then absolutely mauled my friend at MvC2. Shame, he's moving to Scotland today for 6 months, then to London. It was cool having him live down the road.
Anyway, we must have gone through the entire roster of MvC2, I was picking some wierd characters. Like Servbot! My friend picked him and did really well actually. And I have some new favorites. One time my friend nearly won by picking 3 sentinels, but with my last character and hardly any life, I rinsed all 3 of them :D

You might regret making this lovely new topic after I am through typing. :)
So the weekend went far too quickly as I seemed to either be typing up long articles, reviews, coursework, etc. In between I had a whole bunch of games to play too! My beloved AvP Hunter Edition came through the post on friday and I was like all happy, as I missed it after 2 weeks away from it. I proceed to play and then I checked out something that totally made my week in AvP.
I then went shopping on saturday and ended up coming back with Punch Out Wii for £6. If your reading this Jack we can finally have a few more matches. :p
On Friday I was also up till like 3 in the morning playing "Lost in Nightmares" with a friend. I was lady Jill and I blanked the blanket; it was a performance worthy of of the Royal Albert Hall.
I also took photos of my special kind of love with my new facehugger! Can't wait to scare a few people with the facehugger. :D
Yesterday I played a bit more of AvP online and some poor chap was constantly swearing on my tv. I guess he was not very happy about my Alien buddy killing him. :)
Don't really have classes today and it is raining(which I actualy enjoy the sound of), so will attempt to review these 3 games and do some more coursework.
Also undecided about buying Espgaluga II as I saved £50 by not seeing Depeche Mode saturday, and it looks fun like Mushihimesama Furtari 1.5
I was very upset that the Winter Olympics kidnapped Liz Lemon time.As if doing it to my poor Sonic was not enough!
Charmed out!
"I then went shopping on saturday and ended up coming back with Punch Out Wii for £6."
OMG, where?! Is it any good?

In the Sainsburys that is 5 minutes away from where I live. It was the last 1 hiding behind House of the Dead "swearathon" Overkill (which was about like £12). :D
I can get you a Boy and his Blob for £10 if you want(would have gotten 1 but bought an Avp Hunter edition for an Italian friend too, so had to say no to more spending). :bouncy:

If you can, buy'm!
Something I recommend to everybody, since Cave (or whoever is the producer of these series, I forgot) has said several times that if these games get imported enough, they'll see about releasing the series in the west. :)
Right now, I don't have time to type about my life, probably later. :hop:
huh, you just reminded me of cave story.
*edit* Jesus, I don't think it's ready yet! How long does it take?

But I want to read about your life senor Jarl and all its gritty details!
Actualy I read on neogaf that it will be their 2nd and last region free game mister. The reason for it might be because DeathSmiles is finally coming out in the States.
What is sad though is that it is only the normal version that is region free and not the limited version. It does not make sense to do it, unless they only want Japanese people to get faceplates. Who care about a faceplate anyway as I would have liked the soundtrack more.
I read on the same neogaf thread that the soundtrack should be in normal version. It seems so expensive though and I am frightened of customs for life! Will ask the uk ebay seller if he will get it and if he wants £45, like we arranged for Mushihimesama Futari 1.5. :D

What's WebCT?
Most unis have a network set-up that each student can see an updated mini-page of their individual classes. On WebCT all your lecture notes and materials are posted for you, so you can get easy access to them at any time.
Absolute life-saver.
That's really good. Beats making your own notes! O__o
I had a bad night's sleep and still can't get going this morn...er afternoon.
Just figuring out what I need to do this week while lamenting the state of my bank account. Looks like I've got a couple of articles to write today then I can spend my time playing either Heavy Rain or Phantasy Star Zero :D At least that's a silver lining :)
That sounds cool - what's your job? Journalist?
I shall do as Diogo and mention my weekend.
Friday night I left work early so I could travel to Yeovil in Somerset (my boyfriend's home town), along with my sister and boyfriend we stayed there the night and I got to have fun with his doggies

We mainly went so we could go to a invetebrate show called Bugfest, where I got my new little friend who I have named Eratosthenes

Who I'm afraid might not be eating :( but I'll find out tonight I hope!
So my saturday was spent looking around this bug show and then looking around Yeovil as I hadn't been there for years.
Sunday started alright, but on my way into town I managed to fall over twice on some slippery mud which hasn't done me any good. This was followed by Tesco shopping and a little later doing Gamercast (weekly gaming podcast I do). Played a little more Bioshock 2 and that was most of Sunday I believe. I also didn't do much as it's hurting to walk :(.
And now I'm at work, working on an awesome project :) although it's hurting to sit straight or walk at the moment, so I'm in a bit of pain.
On my lunch eating bagels :)
Oh also booked off (if I'm allowed to talk about other events) the 9th of March so I can head down to the FFXIII HMV launch :) couldn't allow myself to not go to this one as I went to the FFXII launch back in 06 (i think) :)

Awwww Cat, that puppy is seriously giving me the cuddly look.I want to hug it too... :D
It sounds like you had a very unique weekend then what with meeting you new invertebrate friend. Hope you feel better from your fall soon and don't over do it.
I like the way you think about Final Fantasy 13 and I might be there too. Shall we dress up as characters? I want to be Squallie and I have a jacket similar to his too!

I would cosplay as Rinoa as I have it all already, and in fact went as her to the FFXII launch too :) I'm just unsure if I actually will feel like dressing up. May try it on this week, see if it all still fits (I doubt it :P)
Just for the record, I read on Joystiq some days ago that the first fifty cosplayers get something from Square Enix at the HMV opening. ;D
Edit:
Piece of the article below:
"Square Enix, apparently, is all about the cosplay. Just today, the publisher announced (http://www.gamasutra.com/view/pressreleases/55854/FINAL_FANTASY_XIII_OFFICIAL_UK_LAUNCH_EVENT_AT_HMV .php) that it'll be rewarding the first 50 people dressed in "Final Fantasy costumes" who arrive at the March 9 launch event for Final Fantasy XIII (http://www.joystiq.com/tag/final-fantasy-xiii) with a free copy of the game's soundtrack. Oh, and also, Square Enix producer Yoshinori Kitase (http://www.joystiq.com/tag/yoshinori-kitase) and art director Isamu Kamikokuryo will be there, signing whatever you want.
"

Yeah you're supposed to get a soundtrack, but I can't imagine they'd give you the whole soundtrack, and maybe something similar to what you get in the special edition, or maybe even the same one.

I spent the weekend looking at wedding suits. You wouldn't believe how much a tailored suit costs O_o
I then tidied the flat and manage to fit in one episode of prison break (got the box set from the gf for valentines) and a quick go on fallout 3 and Il 2 sturmovik.
Life's so busy right now, all the fun's gone out the window :(
Maybe you should book some time off just to mess around a bit :)

I'm taking two days off for the gf's birthday so I have a 4 day weekend coming up. Other than that I have to save my holiday for the honeymoon and a few days here and there to sort out some wedding stuff.

Not a lot here. Still doing my part-time gig whilst I look for a full-time job. A couple folks came to steal and failed. I laughed out loud at 3 guy's stupidity in trying to steal. Very "unprofessional" (for a thief). They walked off so fast and used the excuse "I don't wanna get nicked!" after attempting to actually nick stuff in the first place, ha!
Thinking of going to the FFXIII event as well but then again also not sure. Rather just play FFXIII after all! Plus the FFXII event was such a long day and it was annoying that you had to buy FFXII from them as well, which was utterly stupid.
As for the soundtrack, it'll be the full, standard version. The Limited Edition game already comes with a sample. I doubt they'll dish out the Limited Edition Soundtrack either, though they did give one out in the FFXII event. Gotta love how they made it out to be super duper rare when the LE OST was still available easily.
Now to decide what to get signed...
That sounds cool - what's your job? Journalist?
Sort of, I do a lot of writing voluntarily (although some paid too) so not convinced it makes me worthy of the title just yet :D
But does mean I'm rather busy writing most of the time as I'm giving it a concerted effort :)

It was a pull off lid, but the thing snapped, so I used a tin opener, however the pull off tins have a larger gap so it couldn't grip it properly and only cut little sections out of the top, tried to use a fork from then on, not good.

I'm sad because I should have had my new hard drive for my PS3 delivered to work and not home :( I wanted to get it all sorted out before my copy of Heavy Rain comes, but I'm not sure if that's gonna happen :(.

I'm quite good at that, I buy a bag of doughnuts from asda, gone is 30 seconds. Yum.
Just got out my digital media practical, had some guy complain about how he thinks the work is too easy and not advanced enough. (which is stupid because it's an introductory lecture) Trying to sound like a know-it-all. Then say 2 minutes afterwards how he failed college, and left the class 30 mins early.
Basically I complain about lots of things. Especially to drop down the list that got started just before ;) ... people that officially won't know what they do, what they want, or just going around tripping other people. Nobody is perfect but "they are", and everybody is stupid "but them" ... oh, :D I would have to kill you if I revealed inside infos. Just kidding. But where's the deal? Humans make mistakes, I do mistakes - everybody does; But at some point I get so :flamesangry:whence it's just about simple things as simple as buttering a bread that people don't seem to get on with. Somewhere these people must have lost their brain. Like these terrorists that always complain about the west and never think of their own ... appearantly. By all the effort they put into bombing houses they should be capable of ... enhancing their food manifacturing or elsehow getting - and if it's business problems then go >>>>INDEPENDANT!. OK - it appears to be pretty hard to get along, ... but how did WE get along? man man man, this world is full of ... :bash:. Any complaints?
And besides, well, nothing far special. I'm writing on my program, slowly it's turning into something cool. Really cooL! But I'm with my head more lost up in my own things than being where I should be - he[a.k.a. los (laughing out silently)]!
I just found a faible for fortune telling cards. I chose a card (thought) to represent this forum, and the cards tell - as I understand: The majority of the active members of this forum or all are dedicated capcom fans (marriage). Then there is sadness on top of which there is a visit then a message and finally a house - that is for the past. Following to sadness there is desire and finally merriment. It's pretty much of it all I guess. The future and present say - well, there seems to be anger and there is a thief while that line finally ends in death. At the end stands hope. That all is underlined by an ecclesiastic, a journey and fortune that finally is opposing death.
Looking for the thief - three cards fell out: Journey, money and fidelity. And another one: Letter.
The thief seems to have pretty good cards. Well, loss is opposed by love, sadness by unexpected joy. Yet there is misfortune and desire. The present and future show a journey and money, merriment and thought, but finally also widdower and jealousy that finally ends with letter. So - that will be me making that big boom - in time. So if it won't make boom, I would - WOULD - have a problem, but yadayada - how was that again - "Singing don't worry - ..." - (three little birds - Bob Marley). And I'll lay down the cards for that letter so nobody else would do that in my place - and whatever; I don't believe in such high level miracles where all would get the same cards - well, because it's not the time!
And well, the past is looking good but one card (falseness) - which I can find as something that is yet missing, so the rest wouldn't be a great deal so the journey ends as the letter ain't finished. It will be too much of a laying around - definately. OK, good enough. It ends however with unexpected joy and that is good for it. But else, - well, there is also the thief and thre is misfortune. Confusing!
And further, well - I'm having too much things to do to get something straight and, basically - I'm jumping from idea to idea to not loose one thing, ... yeah - all is well.
-------
but how would this be if I forgot to lay cards for Capcom!?? Can I mix the cards? It wouldn't be professional but I'll do it aniway (because I ain't professional) OK - here they go:
So, besides the basic average which is to be expected of a company (enemy, sadness, thief, anger, visit, fidelity, jourey, gift, merriment, desire, thought, money, love ... baby) - it's remarkable that it starts with baby and ends with thought. But money is in the future or present - merriment too - well. But visit in the future may mean more than nothing and now I've put them away... so, err... well, it's gonna be alright.

I spent 1 hour in the snow this morning which is about 4-5 inches.
Not only that, 30 mins in I checked the email on my iphone to find out my application to study in Japan over summer was rejected, because they can only fund 1 maybe 2 people to go over and 20 people applied. :(
Definitely not the best morning ever.

im actually really good jarlino, compared to last time it feels like hardly anything has been done.
like i say it doesnt look like the base of the septum has moved as much as i hoped but the cartilage that was out of place looks like its in a better and honestly im just chuffed im not in masses of pain.
Last time it wouldnt stop bleeding profusely for days and when it finally did the whole nose closed up with dried blood, my lips were chapped to hell for over a week from only being able to breath through my mouth and i was really really bruised and sore.
This time as soon as the packs came out i was able to breath through my nose straight away and so far hardly any bruising ;)

Yeah quite a slog to get there, but it was worth it just for the view, we brought, two packs of cheese and onion crisps and two tins of Carlsberg to celebrate the Hike
Baileys is really good. I always get some in around xmas (especially when it's on offer).

So, one council member gave me some feedback in regard to my application to study in Japan.
Here's how it goes:
Thank you for applying for our scholarship. We regret that we are not being able to provide everyone with this opportunity,
although we are very impressed by the enthusiasm of the applicants.
I am a council member of the Society. Here is my personal feedback (not as the committee):
I definitely saw your great passion in learning Japanese by reading the application.
My personal assessment was as equally good as the people who were selected for the interview. However, it was
highly competitive. I strongly recommend you to re-apply next year if you still find it interesting.
There were some critisms aswell, however, now I don't feel as bad as I did. :D

- got a girlfriend, is pretty awesome.
- tyring to save money for MH, not going so well.
- Made my first proper meal, was scared i was getting food poisoning haha
- now im so tired ive been out until midnight every day for 2 weeks
what you guys up to?
I've done a great deal of personal reflection, and I'm starting to improve in desirable areas.
I'm saving a lot of money by only buying what I need and only buying a game after completing the last.
I'm slowly losing weight by eating a great deal less and eating more fruits and vegetables.
I'm trying to improve my concentration by reading a great deal more.
Changing my ways... sounds silly but it's very hard to maintain.
