I reckon Dark Void is cool and cannot understand all the critisim it has recieved. I think it was brave enough to try something different and for me it worked. The game was fun to play without being frustrating and the story was just as cool as any other si-fi story ive seen. Kudos Airtight games! Dont listen to all the boring reality obsessed people and make a cracking sequel

So far I quite like it, haven't had much time with it yet, to master flying or the game I've just got the Jetpack and I'm looking for Aircraft parts, but I like the character movement b/grounds look good. Although I do think there is room for some criticism of the game, but with extra DLC adventures (if any) I think it'll improve peoples negative criticisms. And also I think the game itself is a great idea with great potential as well, a sequel would have to be as epic as Lost Planet 2 (seems to be) Fallout 3 or Mass Effect, having a jetpack for a much larger world would be a great bonus to any future sequel. My Early opinion: good game but has better potential for the future.

It's not a bad game, for me it is average but still fun to play.

Yeah definitely getting better as I go along, battled and sky-hopped my way to the Monolith, I like the music (well composed and executed) and these bits of the game reminded me of tomb raider (& TR Underworld) which I loved as games, has that fresh outdoor explaration feel to it. I'll try in HD, hopefully next weekend see what it looks like in
High Def. :giggle: Loving that Jet-Pack tho! brings back days of Dino Cr. 3 :D The combat is a bit Gears of W as well which I like. So far so Good. I got a few niggles about what I should have actually been able to grab onto, ledges etc I believed it would have been possible to get onto, but I'm liking it a lot now. :)
Well finished it, Super little game, liked it loads but needs some serious expansion in the future, game wise and story/character wise. Love the Jetpack want more...

I will join the supporters in the near future. I don't have enough money ATM.
I like any game that takes place in space. Are you able to use jetpacks in space?!!

Only in Dino Crisis 3.
D. V. is set on another world not in space, but it is worth it for the Jet-Pack once you have mastered flying.

That's better.

After the negative reviews I didn't expect much. But i have to admit that the game was really good. Solid gameplay and graphics. The only problem that I had with this game was the story telling and the character development.
Although the whole setting was rather promising, the story telling was not very deep and the character development was almost non existant. It could have been done so much better.... The game had the potential to be a hit, but the problems with the story and characters ruined it for me. I am simply not interested in enjoying the story again...
However, if the story is not really important to you, Dark Void can be a really good game... especially at that price.

I'm just a beginner in free-shooting games too, but I find that playing Dark Void isn't so difficult, once you've had some practice (I love accuracy shots).

The game is good and and like some other games it has some good and some bad things but i think that the biggest minus in Dark Void is that it has no multiplayer especially with the potential of air battles.

This game felt so unfinished, it is riddled with bugs and problems, i fear the work Capcom was putting in on Lost Planet 2 and other such titles probably left Dark Void in the corner, it was great fun, but it is simply unfinished, and then the DLC achievements dont work, which i hoped would redeem the whole thing a little.. I would rather have waited and have it polished up ):

dark void was developed by a studio in america called airtight games. lost planet 2 was developed by a studio in japan called capcom, which dark void was only published by. any development with any other game by capcom at the time would not have affected a studio on the other side of the planet
i've never played dark void myself but i dont think you should be blaming the wrong people for the wrong reason

"i dont think you should be blaming the wrong people for the wrong reason"
If Capcom were not to blame for rushing Dark Void, then why was Airtight games so rushed to finish it? And i think you should give it a go, its a blast with the jetpack even with all the niggles:)

Now that i have actually tried the game, I'm not going to support this game. The jetpack was uncontrollable, and the environment looked so average, it seemed airtight games used UnrealEngine 2 for the game. Anyway, I'm not going to join you folks.
