Well be having an awesome community event at Sonys HQ in London on Sat 28th Feb from 12pm to 4pm - Capcom Europes style, PS3 units with full preview code to play, food and fun, casual, friendly and no NDAs. Its a small event for only 30 gamers in total and access is strictly by invitation.
I have a couple of places to go as a pair (ie one plus one guest) up for grabs for our lovely community. So, post here completing this sentence: "I deserve a place at the Resident Evil 5 Gamers Day because." and well pick the best entry.
Rules:
1. Entries must be submitted by Monday 23rd Feb at 23.59 GMT
2. Attendees must be aged 18 or over

I deserve to go because I plan to cain this game the moment the steel-tin edition touches my xbox and still get in plenty of play pre-release, Id love meeting all the people as mad about Resi as I am and hey...someone needs to save the world from the virus and...them.

i deserve a place at the resident evil 5 gamers day because simply put the game needs me! i am one of the biggest capcom fans there is and ill will always make time when there is a capcom event (even if i got work) so really i am taking risks in order to play resident evil.
plus i like to make my friends boil with rage and come after me like a crimson zombie just because i played the game first!

I deserve a place at the Resident Evil 5 Gamers Day because I rarely get a chance of playing a PS3 without a shop assistant telling me its time to go.I admit to being curious as to how the game is on a PS3 in terms of control scheme and maybe the visual side after trying it on xbox 360.Furthermore it sounds like the perfect chance to go check out Sonys headquarters!!! :P
I deserve a place at the Resident Evil 5 Gamers Day because this will be my first event organized by Capcom. Cant wait to be in first 30 to get hands dirty. I was thinking of taking a day off but realized it is on Saturday :).

Thanks a lot for accepting me once again and definetly will give you guys lots of details. Kind of odd that so many people cancelled as its the weekend too but they miss out on the fun that is the zombie safari. :)

Thats great and if you come and need a partner count me in! We will have a blast laughing at my poor Sheva getting cut to pieces as I keep hitting the wrong buttons in quick event scenes. :P

Awesome!! Me and Kingsampson had a blast, we got way further than we did last time, we even got a magnum ;)
we had a little rivalry with capcom staff to see who got further and guess who won b)
and the food! the food! food!! it was like awesome, the menu was custom as well, severed fingers, satayed entrails, mashed zombie brains (which i assume was the strawberrys and cream cub, which was totally delicous, we had like 3 each!)
there was a zombie competition, quite cool, il give a more detailed report a bit later, but i gots other things to do today

I had a brilliant time too at the event and even met a lot of cool people from various places! Me and my top team mate managed to get even further than I did last time so was great fun trying to survive through to the end of 1st part of chapter 3. :D
Thanks a lot Tenebra and the Sony staff for giving us the opportunity to have some serious fun and I will definetly be writting something for everyone to see too along with lots of photos! Well I was right there in blue starting one of the bosses I didnt get to fight last time. I hear you guys just finished the 1st part of the 3rd chapter when we arrived there.Well done on the competition if I understood correctly... ;)

Very lucky and youll problably have finished it before most of us comes friday 13th! I bet Sinister problably will be coming to your house anyway so you guys can do more co op. I finally found a place with a cool price for limited edition called shopto so hopefully will have that thursday. :P
I cant believe you guys managed to get through 3 of those mushed brains desserts! I tried one as soon as I saw strawberries but left half of it as it was just too sweet, so stuck to a lot of salad sticks.
You guys must be glad to have come in the end after all.
Full Report, I have colour spoiler areas in yellow, and they are spoilers so if you dont want to know about the game dont read them!!
The day started with me waking up around 8ish and deciding whether or not i should wear that Leon Kennedy cosplay i made or not, in the end i couldnt really be bothered so i just put on some regular clothes, checked the mail and huzzah! my new psp had arrived! Gave Kingsampson a call to see if he wanted to go to the event and he took a bit pf purseuding but eventually he decided to come along.
We had a choice of train routes, ues the quicker metropolitan line or the easier bakerloo line, since we were early we decided on the bakerloo line, we then pulled out monster hunter and fought the giant green squid monster, whoose armour i am trying to make and we beat it on the way to the last stop so it was great timing!
Kingsampson was hungry but we couldnt find a cash point so we decided to just go to the sony building early, where we waited in some funky chairs and again played monster hunter, chatted to the security guard, lent him our psp charger cable and found out that our names were not on the guest list! Then we see the capcom crew coming out of the building and we had a bit of banter playing monster hunter again?! your supposed to be playing resident evil today! I think they went to get food or something, then some sony forumers approached us and they were pretty friendly and we had a little chat with them but its hard to chat while fighting a volganos, which due to chatting we eventually were defeated.
Next we see Tenebra and she takes us to write our name badges and add our names to the list, the name badge is pretty cool, it says INFECTED on it, they then took us to the room with all the TVs and i think that was an accident or something cause it was 15mins before the event began so we just chose our seats, grabbed a coke and watched the intro movie. Then some sony guy was talking to us and he thought we worked for capcom which was highly amusing and eventually everyone else arrived and they actually began playing before we did as we were a bit uneasy playing before the event started.
However we soon kicked it into full gear, no movie scenes for us, using our knowledge of the game and our skills we raced through normal mode

We quickly arrived at the Axe guy in the first level of the demo and last time armed with only pistols we failed to kill him, well that was soon about the change, using a great display of teamwork we defeated the Axe guy with about 5mins spare! We carried on moving at a high speed and reacher the leach boss, i told Kingsampson to use 1 well timed bullet to take him out however he fluffed it and it took him 10 bullets... tut tut. still it was killed in quite an epic way so i was happy and no time was lost because of it.

Next we were told that lunch was ready, i was worried that if we stopped for lunch we might not get very far, so we originally planned to stay for just a short lunch break. That was until we saw the food! satayed chicken, ribs in a cup, chips in a bowl, pizza squares, vegetable sticks and strawberry mess in a cup! well there was no chance we were going to have a quick lunch after seeing that feast, the menu had all the food named after goulish things like severed fingers and roadkill pizza, even the gingerbread men were zombies! we lucked out and got the table with the chicken and ribs, which was all we wanted to be honest, we had a chat with two other guys about street fighter and other games, then one of the guys girlfriend comes over and we realise its the couple that were seated next to us. The forumers from earlier came other and said you do realise there are vegetables on the other tables! (one was a girl hence the comment she made) Loads of people then began to steal the chicken and ribs from our table, including capcom staff!! However there was loads left and more came out, we eventually felt full and armed with juice boxes we went back to the fray!

We soon reached the point we were at in the last event, just through the mines and we soon came acroos boss number two, a super version of the corpse bats as i have named them or the mosquitoes as kingsampson stupidly named them (the flying things in level 2 of the demo) and this beast was hard, its weak point was hard to hit but we eventually found some poximity mines and then using our knifes we managed to defeat it, was quite a challenge and there was a really cool part were i was falling off a cliff and kingsampson came and saved me.

Having gained a vast lead on everyone else we took a time out to enjoy our zombie brains and chatted with the sony version of tenebra and we gloated a bit about how much better we were than others, we watched a few people play, saw capcom had got up to the point in the second level of the demo, secretly laughed at the girlfriend and boyfirend co-op which was terrible, phrases like I am shooting him! were often muttered.

We then got back to playing and did a really cool section where we are in the back of a vehical armed with chainguns! and moterbiking zombies were trying to throw moltav cocktails at us, very uncool, we actually died a few times here, its really quite a hard section but very epic. by this point we had collected a lot of trophies such as close combat and some others i cant remember as well as the storyline ones. eventually the truck crashes and you are faced by an el gigante from resident evil 4 complete with las plagas parasites and a very cool beard! at this point a couple of people began watching our screen, its a really cool battle and again we died a few times but finished just in time for...

...the pose as a zombie competition! which was rather embarrasing but very cool, capcom even did a group zombie picture. It was at this point were we took another time out for more zombie brains and a chat with tenebra and psuedo-tenebra, tenebra then informed us that capcom had made great progress but we assured her we were in the lead, however a look at their screen indicated that there were quite close behind so it was time to get back to the game, which after a while kingsampson went to get another zombie brains (i think his 4th?) and he informed me that 2 of the capcom players had given up and were playing monster hunter but the other 2 were very close!

Next stop the swamp! this is were the majini change from being city residents to native tribal guys in staw skirts with tribal spears and shields, and some with beehives on their head which is unexplained until you shoot one in the head with a sniper thinking you just got an easy kill, there is a cool section were we got to drive around in a swamp fan boat thing, i was the driver of course and i was also the sniper which made things difficult as we had to keep switching places! then there was a horrible incident with a crocodile resulting in my death, but more wise to the ways of the crocodile we just ran for our lives second time round, this was also an epic moment. soon we gather all the pieces needed to advance and head into an area, i hear kingsampson utter the famous words I wonder what all theses holes on the ground are for, oh look a magnum! needless to say it was a trap! in my attempt to free him however i just ended up jumping into the pit with him to which he replied What are you doing here!! and i replied Im sooooorry!! i was trying to free you!! which as psuedo-tenebra was still watching us was rather undignified!
Then two giant tribal guys appear with masks protecting their faces, we ended up using all of our vast amounts of ammo on them and eventually I killed them both, well i got the killing blows at least!

Then we are asked to wrap things up and as we had just reached the end of a chapter we were pretty happy, they then announced the winner of the zombie competition, who recieved a poster thing of resident evil (i heard tenebra whisper theres only 8 in the world!) and he will recieve a free copy of the game when it comes out. Next tenebra gave out bags to every bar me, kingsampson and capcom, however kingsampson managed to get one as he gave his other to his younger brother, i was wearing my bag so i couldnt get away with it, however tenebra did give me a little model of chris redfield which i treat as a trophy for beating capcom!! many evil glares were upon me for thins but i pretended i was busy with the box until they left.
capcom then tried to get us to clean up our station which was by far the messiest station there, and it was really messy, juice boxes, zombie brain cups, cola cans and other rubbish however we swiftly made for the exit and told tenebra that capcom were trying to frame us for the mess they left, ha! that will teach em for trying to save the canteen staff work! who by the way were lovely people.
finally on our way back we were asked to remove our ID tags however since we had befiended one fo the security guards he managed to distract the other one letting us escape with our tags! hurray! then on the train home we fought the green squid beast but my battery died, however when i got home i finished it off!

I will definetly write something about the whole experience but been trying to wrap up my java game and some revision with some quick breaks in between.( explains why I been on here so many times today... )

You guys really went far ahead as I got up to the point when we saw crocodiles and proceeded to run before time was over but we watched all the cutscenes for the fun of it. :) !

kingsampson is getting a copy before us because he is buying from a dodgy website that delivers the games as soon as they recive them!
The winner of the zombie competition blogs over at dtiod, he got loads of cool stuff, i am most jealous of the Jun Takeuchi and Masachika Kawata autograh, i wish i could of applied to go now as i do a mean zombie impression.

yea that autograph is awesome... i knew i should have followed him and killed him but I didnt get to see it before I saw the blog so how was I supposed to know it was a cause worthy of murder?
The come-down from the event is pretty bad though... food just doesnt taste as good when its not zombie themed and games dont taste as good unless they are Resident Evil.

Hey Charlotte and nice to see you around here in the best blue theme forum around the next! Thanks a lot for having me and everyone else over to play the game. It was a nice change to play a playstation for so long. Now I want to get a PS3 sometime as the controller feels very comfortable... :P
Loving the photos as well and the whole theme for event was a lot of fun as as I laughed when I saw the menu.I hope you dont mind but I renamed the barbecued pork to Kirks chopper missiles burned zombie leftovers. :lol:
