Ok, so we've had numerous threads over the years where people share links to the funny, odd, and hilarious videos that appear on YouTube...but we've never really had anything to show off the Educational, interesting, beautiful, or serious side to YouTube.

So, I'm creating one.

Purely because I found this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VAkOhXIsI0 and wanted to share it with all of you.

It's a piece of music called Ocean, done on a 12 String Acoustic Guitar. Absolutely amazing.

Loved it got my Dad and Sister to watch this as well they're both budding Geetarists, they loved it! Geezers got sum skills. 12 string has always sounded brilliant. Thanx dude!:D

I randomly discovered it whilst checking out a new feature on youtube ( www.youtube.com/disco (http://www.youtube.com/disco) ), but I loved it enough to want to share it.

I also want to share this, a beautiful acoustic cover of Hey Ya (originally done by Outkast). I find this version to be much more appealing to my ears:

Oh yes, and lets not forget this:

Andy McKee showing off his awesome talent at Drifting, the style of playing the acoustic guitar as both the string section, and the drum section (I forget it's proper name).

I love Drifting, it sounds so good.

That was really good.

Overly reminscient of oldschool 80's Sci-Fi and Fantasy flicks, things like Neverending Story and the like.

I swear I've heard it before in Science and Nature Documentaries too. It's really nice and laid back, but hinting towards something epic at the same time...

I've just be introduced to this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQXiJbEFFwA

Makana. A lot like Ocean up above, nice style.

Now, this next guy is someone that a friend introduced me to several years back. He's often considered to be one of the greatest guitarists of the current collection we have. Voted into such a position by many of the greats themselves.

Tommy Emmanuel does Drifting, but he takes it to such an interesting level.

Here are some of his tracks:

Apologies for the double post (It's not technically a double post since the subject was split, but nevermind. :P), but I wanted to share this:

Playing 12 strings is incredible fun, make every note feel fantastic and it's great to see someone use one the way they are meant to played.
