Only a handful of people have played this, and well never play it.......
There is still hope the Playstation Museum have it and so does BioFlames hopefully one day they will get bored and give it out, There has got to be someone with it apart from capcom and playstation museum etc
You want Capcom to release a buggy, half made demo from nearly 10 years ago?
Whilst I admit that I am curious as to the original content of RE2, Id rather read or watch a documentary on it rather than playing and paying for a mess.
ITs buggy big deal it would take capcom a day to fix all those and it is worth a lot to a true res fan obiously u like killing africans then playing the horror series that made the game what it is

I dont see the point in it coming out now.
I like Resident Evil and have followed it from the first game and my faverate being Code Veronica, and yes I do enjoy Resi 4 and I am looking forward to Resi 5.
Killing Africans has nothing to do with it, In Res 1,2,3 I killeddead or infected americans, resi 4 i killed dead or infected spanish, resi 5 i will kill dead or infected africans.
notice anything? Dead or Infected
It does not bother me who they are as its only a game and they are not real.

Yes but its ment to be half dead zombies with blood and guts hanging out, Not africans that can speak and walk around with axes i want the old resident evil back Resident Evil 5 is nothing compared to the zombie series and resident evil 4 was ok i can agree with that

No, it wouldnt take a day to fix it, Resident Evil 2 is the fix.
and it is worth a lot to a true res fan obiously
Not really, theres hardly anything there, only the information as to what could have been and what has altered would be of use.
u like killing africans then playing the horror series that made the game what it is
.....What the? Oh boy, u like making assumptions...
What have Africans got anything to do with this? I like fighting MAJINI, the enemies of Resident Evil 5, their nationality have absolutely nothing to do with it, the origin of the name is the closest thing to anything to do with nationality, that it means Evil spirit, id still enjoy the game had they gone by any other name, dont try to put a big racist sticker on my head just because of your lack of knowledge on this matter may make people misunderstand what you mean.
And I play Resident Evil games at least once maybe twice a week, truth is, its always going to be there, I like what it is and respect what it is going to be, I like living in the past just as much as moving on forward with the advancements to the series, the origins are here to stay, they can make a million Resident Evil games, but that wont change how I feel about the original 3 games.

Have you played Resident Evil 5?
The original name for Resident Evil is Biohazard which in its name does not mean zombies.
Biohazard meansbiúoúhazúard
/ba?o??h‘z?rd/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [bahy-oh-haz-erd] Show IPA Pronunciation
-noun
1. a pathogen, esp. one used in or produced by biological research.
2. the health risk posed by the possible release of such a pathogen into the environment.
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/biohazard
Which covers what happens in Resi 5.
Play the game and see the story unfold as it supose to tie off a lot of loose ends in the older games.
Spike and Dante what i am trying to say is that Resident Evil was much preferred by 80% of Resident Evil Players it was scary it had puzzles and loads of stuff to do i have played Resident Evil 5 and it just doesnt fit in if umbrella was destroyed in RES3 Nemesis where did these africans come from? and how did the virus escalate from brain dead to smart talking people capcom have done a lot of mistakes EX like resident evil 3.5 (Hooked Man Version)
Now that was scary and resident evil 4 was not,all i am saying is that the zombies are much preferred

I know a lot of people preferd the old style but I would love to know where you get 80% from?
I think your just making up numbers.
Ever heard of BioFlames Forum you should give them a hit and see all the fans that want Resident Evil 1.5 and not Resident Evil 5 ok 80% i made it up but its probably true

Im with Dante2014 on this, Id much rather see a documentary that covers all the minute differences to be honest. Playing an 80% complete game, filled with bugs, just wouldnt feel right.
I think, in all honesty, it would also ruin the experience that Resident Evil 2 gave me all those years ago.
If anything, Id like to see Capcom release a DVD with one of the games that has a documentary on all of the cancelled games. It really bugs me that people think there was only 1.5 and 3.5. There are scrapped versions of EVERY Resident Evil game, and there are mu;tiple versions to. There are at least four versions of 3.5 that I know of, and at least two versions of 1.5.
As for Bioflames and the Playstation Museum, well...I dont know who the Playstation Mseum are to be honest, but BiolFlames dont own a copy. BioFlames is just a collection of all the information on 1.5 that was ever released.
Everybody that has ever claimed to own a copy of the game has been unable to produce any evidence of ownership, and has often dissappeared under closer inspection.
Also, on the Zombies part:
1. Technically speaking, the Ganado and Majini are Zombies. They are mindless creatures that have no real will of their own. If you want to start crying out for Zombies, do some research. What we see in the original games are Romero Zombies or, dead bodies that have been brought back to life. In other words, Ghouls.
2. Resident Evil has never been about the Zombies. If the main focus was on Zombies, there would have been much more information on them, and they certainly would not have been placed as the simplest and easiest enemy in the entire game. The Resident Evil series is about Biohazardous Outbreaks that threaten to destroy humanity.
There, Im done.
Ever heard of BioFlames Forum you should give them a hit and see all the fans that want Resident Evil 1.5 and not Resident Evil 5 ok 80% i made it up but its probably true
heard of a lot of forums and yes that one.
Please dont just make figures up it makes you look silly.

i have played Resident Evil 5 and it just doesnt fit in if umbrella was destroyed in RES3 Nemesis where did these africans come from?
Umbrella defeated in RE3??
No they werent...Umbrella were still around until the early 2000s, as shown in Umbrella Chronicles.
Resident Evil 5 itself will explain why these creatures have come about.
And also, on top of it all, Umbrella were not the only company dealing with bio-weapons.
The Agency, Corporation S, Tri-Cell, Umbrella and Wesker on his own have all been dealing with Bio-weapons.
Then you have to think about WilPharma in Degeneration to.
Whoops, I unintentionally repeated TZMs post, the points I made here are agreeing with TZM, not taking credit, apologies
Spike and Dante what i am trying to say is that Resident Evil was much preferred by 80% of Resident Evil Players it was scary it had puzzles and loads of stuff to do
And I still prefer it, it still exists does it not? where did you get that 80% from?
I do think that Resident Evil 5 lacks the puzzles from what I played, but zombies arent scary anymore, they where originally scary, but playing through all of the games has nulled any kind of fear, Resident Evil 5 IS scary, having someone intelligent trying to kill you is a lot more threatening than running circles around an upright corpse.
i have played Resident Evil 5 and it just doesnt fit in if umbrella was destroyed in RES3 Nemesis
It actually went bankrupt, not destroyed, when evidence tying them in to a conspiracy regarding it caused stocks to plummet, they where based worldwide, not just in Raccoon city.
where did these africans come from?
Africa?
and how did the virus escalate from brain dead to smart talking people
Zombies dont have to be dead, realistically, a person who is unable to think for themselves is effectively a zombie, it ties in with voodoo and other forms of necromancy where a persons death would often be faked to bring them back to life, the dead zombies are a more modern thing with George.A.Romero movies, so they are still zombies, technically.
capcom have done a lot of mistakes EX like resident evil 3.5 (Hooked Man Version)
Now that was scary and resident evil 4 was not,all i am saying is that the zombies are much preferred
Im glad they went where they did, the whole scenario of it being some kind of hallucination would have really put me off playing it, Resident Evil 4 wasnt that scary since the Ganados seemed rather tame and uniform, and not nearly as wild and unconstrained as the zombies, I like where they are going with RE5 since the Majini are seemingly lacking a stable hierarchy, I could go on as to why the move for faster enemies far outweighs the need for zombies, but I think Ive just about covered that with how they are more intelligent.

90-90 rule. The first 90% of the code will take you 90% of the time, the last 10% of the code will take you 90% of the time. I dont remember where I read that, but it accurately sums up the painful process of program/videogame development. Chasing down the cause of bugs, which is caused by one wrong character in millions of lines of code is a painful experience most of us have no idea of, and if we did, not many of us wished we did.
So, release RE1.5? Why not. Sure. But its ultimately worthless. Its just a mythical holy grail, a collectors item. No real need for it.
As for what RE is and was about- it was a survival horror game. Now its not. Different games, different genres, different different, same name stamped on top.

Dont worry, I was kidding.
At least Im not the only one that thinks this way :P
Resident Evil 1.5 Means so much weather its buggy or perfect

What exactly does it mean?
Everything that is meaningful about the game is in Resident Evil 2.
We have Birkin, we have Leon, we have the RPD, we have the G-virus.
RE1.5 only offered different styles of the same locations, a few different enemy types that eventually made it into the series (RE3, RE0, RE:CVX), and a slightly different event-trail.
In the end, everything that was good about 1.5 made it into the final game.
Agreed, it was probably scrapped with a good enough reason also, so its unlikely that it would be perfect, Resident Evil 2 IS the perfect Resident Evil 1.5 thinking about where it came from.
And why would it mean anything if it was buggy? anything good from it has more than likely been taken, anything new would be marginal, theres no way it can fit in to any canonical part of the main RE story, the elements like enemies, locations and ideas have probably made it in to other RE titles or scrapped in favor of something a lot more fitting or better, so terrible parts wrapped around a buggy system is certainly not worth any time or money.
Its release as anything other than a curiosity would simply be a waste of time, if they made some kind of disc in the style of The Document Of Metal Gear Solid 2 with character models, locations, stills or maybe a video play through would be excellent, but this is unlikely to happen considering that nothing would compliment it as of yet, and besides, its very possible that its been so greatly altered or scrapped that the original concept is probably non-existent.
