Hey, first post here so be nice. So the Wii virtual console has half a dozen or so street fighter games? Thats great. But how about releasing one for Wii Ware with an online facility? Like those jammy xbox and ps3 owners have got with HD remix. It could be world warrior or super turbo or alpha 2, anything really. Surely this is a no-brainer? It would be dirt cheap to make and I think people would buy it, no?

You'll all say I should buy an Xbox or PS3 (and a HDTV to go with it) but as well as being a miserable git I'm also very tight!

Hi, and welcome to the community! :D

There has been a lot of demand for a modern Street Fighter on Wii. Indeed, online play is a very popular feature of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and Street Fighter IV and I am sure Capcom are aware that many gamers who do not own 360s or PS3s are unhappy about missing out on these games.

I know for certain that Capcom want to release Street Fighter IV on as many platforms as possible, so a version on Wii is probable, but it may take some time.

As it is, Wii currently has the brilliant Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, which is exclusive to Wii. While it is quite different to Street Fighter, the online mode seems quite fun. Perhaps you'd like to check that out..?

(Then again, I'm one of those strange people who prefer single player to multiplayer...)
