Ok, so DMC4 has been out for roughly one year now, and even after playing it, Im still wondering...is Nero related to Dante or Vergil in any shape or form?
It cant be a coincidence that hes just another demon slayer with white hair and special demon-slaying powers (and a cry-baby to :p) could it?
Some people think hes Dantes step brother, other believe he s a reincarnation of Sparda.
I dont know, maybe Im looking into things too deeply.

Nero has a link to the Sparda bloodline. Sanctus deemed him a descendant.
However, thats the only real reference we got, other than the obvious Vergil ties to Nero.
So in essence, if Nero is a descendant of Sparda, he would also be linked to Dante and Vergil on a similar level.

Nero is possessed by Virgil. So its related in that way.

Before the game came out, I thought that perhaps he's Dante's son (as I'm guessing Dante got around a bit when he was younger), but then to me, it makes more sense for him to be a cousin of Dante.
Sparda could have had a brother or sister that we didn't know about.
Who knows? They didn't really go into Nero's origins.
In the game, he was just there.............with an arm that had some issues, transformed into a devilarm (which is amusing, as that's what the weapons were all classed as in DMC1; Devil Arms), and he's out to save his true love Kyrie.
