View Full Version : No Miles Edgeworth in Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg
According to Brizamila, the distributor for Capcom games in Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg, they're not releasing Miles Edgeworth in said three countries. Turns out they consider the level of piracy on the DS so big, that they don't want to risk releasing it.

Brizamila also mentions that they might not bring out Okamiden if Nintendo's unable to reduce the level of piracy before release.
So: thoughts? opinions?
Apparently Nintendo were surprised about this.
"We have no idea. We thought Brizamila was going to publish the game, but if they don't, we don't know what's going on. ...If you look at the charts, you will see that DS games sell just fine.' - Nintendo's Bianca Stirnweis-van Dort

It's such a shame the game isn't being released in those regions as I'm sure it's a brilliant game and many gamers will be disappointed at not being able to get their hands on it.

I wouldn't bother, Google can do that for you:

Awful translation grammatically speaking, you have to change the order of the words to understand the translation.
But, back on topic, this is the first step for Capcom change distributor on those countries, I think.
I wouldn't mind seeing a change in publishers, either. I recall the same issue happening with Phoenix Wright 3, which came out well over a year after Apollo Justice hit shelves.
I can understand a distributor choosing to drop a release because of risks like the high piracy level on the DS, but you'd assume that an European release would mean every EU based country would be getting the game.
A lot of people in the EU actually import games from the US, since they've it earlier. Thus they're not going to buy it twice, which might cause in lower sale numbers.
