Anybody else here a fan of the Broken Sword series? Ive always loved them, number 1 being the best out of them all.

This Directors Cut is basically an upgraded version of the first game (still in 2D), and it adds the ability to play as Nico for her part of the storyline.

As Charles Cecil says, they made sure to make it that everything from the first game is canon, and nothing that happens in Nicos part of the game contradicts this.

You get to play as Nico a day before the events of Broken Sword 1 (original), and then play as both her & George at differing times. Much like Broken Sword 3.

Oh, its for the DS and Wii btw.

This is awesome news for me, and I think Ill be going ahead and buying both versions :P

Got that news on Ds Fanboy, before it became Joystic.something before..

And some response here as I said there,

Id wish theyd just make a good new game, instead of making remakes of the first game.
Ive played it on Pc, Gameboy advance and my stephdads mobile phone already...

to many remakes, not enough original stuff.
Nico phases sound cool, but then again, how many of those were there in the original game?

And if its anything like the The Sleeping Dragon theres no real difference between playing with Nico or George...
Im not going to buy this. :dead:

Thing is, the GBA and Mobile versions of the game werent remakes...they were ports.

This is a fully fledged remake, with new parts that build on the storyline, new animations, and reworked puzzles.

I think this is perfect for the game, and for the genre as a whole.

If this hits big, then we might also finally see a sequel to Beneath a Steel Sky.

Live thread, live!

Anyhows, to people interested in the remake, and more because TZM mentioned beneath a steel sky, which I always heard of, but never had the chance to play:

Check out this article on Joystiq NDS which talks about a possible future DS release of the next Broken sword games, and a remake/sequel to BASS. (http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/24/revolution-considering-new-beneath-a-steel-sky-broken-sword-gam/)

I felt I had to post this here when I read it. :p

Charles Cecil mentioned Beneath A Steel Sky in the previous interview...but the idea of getting remakes of all 4 Broken Sword games sounds really really cool.

Especially so since he mentions doing 3 & 4 in 2D. Im not sure how thatd work, but Id certainly be buying them if they remake them.
