View Full Version : Lost - season 6 discussion (contains spoilers)
Are there any Lost fans in here?
Just finished watching episode 3, and I'm quite mad about the writers, they just keep posting more questions than answers
For what I understood, the story is now split in two:
1. The bomb made the airplane safely land at LAX
2. They return to the island after Jacob's death
But, how did Locke becaome the smoke monster? Who is Jack sister, and why is she mentioned? How did Claire reappeared?
I'm hating Lost at the moment

awwwwww muito obrigada Joao! I so needed a place to talk about Lost!
(I have put everything from in white text so that only those that know about story so far can read)
Please only highlight if you know about the story up to 3rd episode of season 6 and want to discuss it!
First of all... Juliet! http://avatars.animeserve.com/d/2068-3/Kon-Crying.gif
She became 1 of my favourites from way back and then to see her die again on 1st episode was cruel!
Your theory about the different time streams due to the hydrogen bomb exploding is my attempt at understanding it too.
Locke was strangled to death by Ben in season 5, under the impression that there needed to be a body in a coffin, inside the airplane. In the original crash the body was Jack's father inside a coffin. I guess it was part of meeting the requirements for the plane to crash there once again.
The Locke that is seen after this is not the real one and is the smoke monster. It seems that the smoke monster has the ability to transform into the deceased, like for example Eko's dead brother before killing him.
When the weird new Others mention Jack's sister then they are referring to Claire. She was the main reason that Jack's father went to Australia so that he could see her. I can't remember when Jack found out but I think it was after seeing Claire's mother in season 5.
The last time poor Claire was seen in season 5, she was with "Christian". It could be that she may have been contaminated by this "Darkness", due to hitting her head in that explosion(when evil freight mercenaries attacked the barracks). By the looks of it she seems to have become the new Russeau. All those traps, the hair, missing/stolen baby and even the gun remind me of the French lady herself. In fact Russeau always said she had to kill some of her crew due to a contamination problem.
Hope this is of help in making Lost more clear to you. :)
Nice cameo from Ethan as the doctor... but yeah just more questions again then any answers.

How did he even know she was having contractions let alone what Hospital should be in?! With Charlie in jail there will be no one to keep her away from the pointy needle happy doctor! :p
 I can't believe I forgot who Jack's sister was, shame on me
I think I'll use white also to reply to you, originally I assumed that posting "spoilers" would keep away people that haven't seen the last episode, but it's better this way.
Yeha Diogo, that theory of the monster assuming the John Locke shape is quite good, as well as the coffin one.
The writers of Lost have the ability of surprise me, but I'm not sure how they'll merge the two parallel stories, maybe in the last episode someone will press a button and one of these versions will be erased...
