it would be cool to see a dino crisis made with more modern gamplay. sort of like resi 4 and 5
Yep, Dino Crisis was a great series and i had so much fun with the Dino Crisis 1 and 2 (never played the 3rd one) so would love to see another coming out :)
I'd admit, Dino Crisis with a Resi 4/5 style would be quite awesome.

It'd be good to see the series get a reboot of somekind.
Rather than remake the series, or start off where 2 or 3 left off, just start a fresh.
Do it in the same style as RE4 and RE5, and do a re-imagining of the first game.
It'd be interesting.
Well, the Dino Crisis series has sold more copies than the Ace Attorney series, and the latter is still going strong. I don't see why these games can't be re-released or new games created.

I second that. I'd still want it to be as moody and claustrophobic as Dino Crisis 1, but played out like RE4/5. It would be nice to see Regina again, though~
I'd like to see an actual DC3, isntead of the abomination we receved in it's place.

I guess I was the only one who enjoyed DC3!:pit:

The monsters of Dino Crisis 3 are ok, and the game is not boring; but in my point of view capcom should not have called that game to Dino Crisis.
In dino crisis, i prefer real Dinosaurs, not monsters. Dino Crisis 3 should have another name.
Anyway, i would like to see another Dino Crisis for PS3 and xbox360, and maybe for pc too.

Yeah. Mutant Crisis or Space Mutant lol
IMO Dino Crisis 3 should have continued on from where Dino Crisis 2 left off.
This explains the plot of Dino Crisis 2:

I agree. That's why I want DC 4 (if their is going to be one) to carry on from 2
Unfortunately, i don't think this could happen, as i think Virgin Interactive hold the rights to Dino Crisis.

They only own the publishing rights to the game in Europe.
Oh right.
So if Capcom decided they wanted to make DC4, they could still make it and publish the game in Japan, and the US, but not Europe, unless they acquire the publishing rights off Virgin Interactive?.

Capcom could publish it in Europe.
The publishing rights only cover the games that they have published.
Resident Evil 1 to 3 were published by both Virgin and Edios but we still got follow up games.

Would be great to see another DC, I thought 1 was amazing, 2 was great. Never played 3 but when I saw a metal skeleton T-Rex and Regina (or whoever it was) floatng with a Jetpack, I weeped a little.
I think they could do a DC4, they could make and publish it anywhere I reckon.
I mean, Virgin owns the rights to Rival Schools but they still used Batsu in TvC so anythings possible!
Virgin only ever owned the publishing rights to Rival Schools. Capcom still owned the game, the characters, the music, the story, etc. So yes, a new Dino Crisis game is entirely possible. The only problem is re-releasing the older games. As I've said though, Capcom could simply port the games to modern consoles without having to emulate them. Or release the American versions which are mostly the same.
So really, I don't think the whole Virgin thing is a valid excuse.

Sorry that`s what I meant, regardless of DC. RS had publishing rights in most of the countrys.
By the way Yirba, Rival Schools is a clue to my 3rd beatboxxing theme lol.
I joined the forum specifically just to talk about Dino Crisis! I would love a new 1! Is there anyway we can ask Capcom about any word on it? any word at all? I would love an official answer from Capcom themselves!:help:

Well, since I have never played Rival Schools, I had to go through the soundtrack on YouTube to find the track. And so, I am guessing 'On the Rooftop of Sunshine High School (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xA4d3ONWFy4)'. I'm right, right? Tell me I'm right. :D

I am sure Capcom are well aware of the demand for a new Dino Crisis game. However, franchises such as Mega Man, Street Fighter and Resident Evil receive higher priority. That said, I understand that Capcom are working on revisiting some of their other classics. So yes, I am certain that a new Dino Crisis game will be released, but it may be a while. Then again, a long wait will be worth it if the game is of the highest quality.

+1 awesome point to you Yirba :D:D!! It was indeed On the rooftop!
Sorry to make you go through the OST on Youtube lol :(!
I think Yirba is right, they have high priority in their current main franchises, maybe DC and other games will get a reboot soon, or in the future who knows :0.
Oh, awesome... I win! (Though I suppose no one else stood up for the challenge.) It was fine, though. That track was about the third in the playlist. I quickly discarded the first two.
Anyway, concerning Dino Crisis, it's all well and good saying that we want a new game in the series. I'm sure Capcom know there's huge demand for such a game. One of the problems is: how do they go about making it? Of course, fans would probably want something similar to the original two. However, there will be many people who think that this sort of gameplay is outdated. The issue is that Capcom have to satisfy the needs of the fans, as well as newcomers. And that's more difficult than you might think. After all, the survival horror genre is not as popular as it used to be, meaning that many of these classic series have been made more action-oriented. Not that that's a bad thing, but fans are likely to be somewhat disappointed.
One thing I do know, Capcom will do their best to make a game that will be fun for everyone. And I also know that making quality games is a high priority.
