Hey guys, i need your help.
My ps3 often 3 times beeps before shutting down(it began recently), i press shut down the console, the red light flashes few times as ussual but suddently it beeps 3 times, after that i have to wait about 2-3 more seconds for console to turn off.
Did this do to your console guys? Im asking those who´s ps3 died.
Im afraid mine is dying, those beeps are like the first symptoms of plague, then it goes down the hill. Any suggestions what to do? Whats happening?
I emailed my local playstation site about this, waiting for their response. My ps3 is only half a year old, its too young to die :(

Hey mate. Mine did that a lot, mainly when it was on for a while, or just after it crashed.
To be honest, it did it for ages, possibly even a year and was still fine. I'm not really sure it matters too much, as long as your console is still working fine.
You'll know when it's dead, as it'll do those three beeps when you turn it on, and it'll just flick from green to yellow, to red.
I think you're perfectly safe at the minute. Mine did it a lot when it was still healthy. :)

Btw, i just ordered sf4 mad catz arcade stick and bioshock 2 special edition with FREE(only one shop in my whole county has it, didnt know about it)2 multiplayer skins and a figurine of little sister :eek:. For only 63 euros, what a deal! The same prize was for the stick, quite nice but im all outta cash now :(.
I never buy games at full price but bioshock 2 special edition with additional free stuff? Is it possible not to buy that? ;)

I can't finish the first game, as for some reason when I play, it randomly shuts off my pc during play. It's not my pc, and it's the only games which causes my pc to do it, so the game musthave a bug. It's pretty annoying as I'm right at the end.
I ordered AVP a while back for £60 with a replica Facehugger! :D
Will have to give you some games on it, when I have a PS3 which works....or if this one lasts longer than when it was fixed before.

Thats why, if i have a choice between pc and ps3 version of the game, i always buy the ps3 version. When buying it, you know for sure there will be no problems with it like random bugs on PC, you just pop it in and play

I found out the problem was the LBP save file which was corrupted, causing it to not shutdown/leave the game properly. After deleting the save file the console began behaving normally.

It happens randomly although im sure it happens every time after i quit AvP MP demo(the demo just cant find a single damn server)and then turn off the console. But sometime it happens just randomly, like i said
Ok, so about the beeps, sometimes it beeps at the end and sometimes not.
But i now have a biggger problem. Very rarely, when i turn on my ps3, the screen is just black but i know its not frozen, i can turn it off with the controller. Restart always fixes it but why the hell all these problems all of a sudden? I didnt have any a month ago. Also, yesterday while playing tekken 5 during loading screen, the video went black, i dunno if the game froze or the video problem again. I think its the second time a game froze like that, not sure
hey. i have three beeps after quitting Demon's Souls. i am always sure to wait until it is done saving and then i press the menu button and quit, but instead it turns the console off and restarts it. Like what JoaoPT was saying.
...except i don't think my save data is corrupted

Yea, it just does it now and again. I don't think there's any way to stop it, and most of the time it'll do it when your game crashes for whatever reason.
Honestly guys, I wouldn't worry about it. To me, it became perfectly normal.
The only time you want to worry is when it packs up completely. ;)
