Dead Rising 2 hits store shelves on August 31st in North America, September 2nd in Japan, and September 3rd in Europe.

Good to get a release date. Earlier than I expected. Definitely looking forward to it.

What I'm not happy about is this exclusive prologue nonsense. Colour me unimpressed. This crap needs to die out FAST.

I completely agree Alex!

I love the fact it's now multi-platform, but it sucks that the 360 still has one up on us PS3 owners, in the form of an exclusive prologue of the game.

We didn't get an exclusive prologue for Devil May Cry 4, when it went to 360 as well. Both consoles had the same treatment. Why can't this be the case with Dead Rising 2? :(

Maybe it'll just be a timed exclusive, but it looks unlikely.

just another reason to own every console....guess Ive got a few months left to beat the first game then! Note to self, do the story mode instead of just mindless slaughting of zombie horde

I don't think we'll ever see the prologue on the PS3, but I'll not get a xbox just for it. That's why I don't agree with this exclusive add-ons, I've the same rights that a xbox owner. :mad:

I hope that is the case for those who don't have a 360 but I honestly doubt it.

Any news on pre-orders goodies? *looks for bike with double chainsaw*
