Since youre all coming from all over the place, its a bit hard to give you exact directions but here are some tips to get to the Capcom offices.

The address is 26-28 Hammersmith Grove, Hammersmith, London W6 7HA. You can reach Hammersmith by tube (Piccadilly/District/Hammersmith and City Lines). Link to Tube map http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/standard-tube-map.pdf . The Trasport for London site has a pretty good journey planner and also covers bus routes www.tfl.gov.uk

Map for Hammersmith, the arrow points at our offices (and my head this very minute. Thats a scary thought.) http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x=523229&y=178866&z=0&sv=w6+7ha&st=2&pc=w6+7ha&mapp=map.srf&searchp=ids.srf

The sessions start at 11am and 2.30pm respectively, please try to arrive a couple of minutes early but not too early. When you arrive in the building, please go to the reception desk to register as a visitor (youll just need to write your name, time of arrival and company youre visiting), then take the lift to the 9th floor, which is were our offices are located. Then relax and have fun, well look after you, feed you and make sure you are hydrated ;)
Obviously smoking is not allowed in the building so if youre a smoker poke me and Ill take you to the secret (not really) smoking area.

Before leaving the building, please remember to report back to the reception desk to sign out. If you want to hang around after the event, there are several coffee places and bars in the Kings Street, which is literally 2 min walk from the office. If youre after a decent pub, the Dartmouth Castle is quite good and its just here http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=523128&y=178786&z=0&ar=Y

I think Ive covered everything :)

Awesome. Thanks for the post, Ten.

However, the PDF file link isnt working. ;P

The Hammersmith tube that we get off is on Beadon Rd, correct? That means its like a two minute walk. Brilliant. That means I just need to get to grips with the tube and Ill be fine and dandy.

Fixed, the silly . had been included in the link :s

There are 2 stations, one for the Hammersmith and City line and one for the Piccadilly and District lines, both are less than 5 minutes walk from the office.

Because Im not too tube-savvy, please correct me if Im wrong. Ill use the Piccadilly line as the example:

1. I get off the train at Kings Cross.
2. I go to the Underground section that says Piccadilly.
3. I get on the next train that arrives.
4. I wait until it gets to Hammersmith.

Is that correct? Also, how long is the tram ride from Kings Cross to Hammersmith, just so I can be sure that Im not late or too early?

Apologies for the questions. Im not an experienced user of the Underground. :D

1. correct
2. correct
3. wait. First, you need to pick the correct platform, there are an eastbound and a westbound platform. From Kings X you need a westbound train. So you go to the westbound platform and then you can get on the first train that arrives ;)
4. correct

The tube journey from Kings X to Hammersmith takes about 25 min.

i wll either be very early or very late :dead:

the harrow hunters are not known for their ability to wake up early, although i have planned it so we will arrive 2 hours early so we should be there about 5 mins late xD

Considering the weather conditions recently, and the predicted conditions, Im incredibly worried that my coach will either be cancelled or heavily delayed.

What do I do if I am very late??

Sinister

kill the coach driver? I dont think there would be any problem walking in late i just think it would cut your time short :(

hopefully all this weather milarky (i really wish i knew how to spell that word) will have blown over by then (tried to make a pun but it didnt come off great, maybe washed over would have been better?)

Ill be arriving via train in London St. Pancras. Where would I go from there to get to Hammersmith?

Kings Cross St. Pancras - - - Green Park (blue Line, Victoria) - - - - Hammersmith (Dark Blue Line, Piccadily)

No need to change train, you can get the Piccadilly line from Kings Cross all the way down to Hammersmith :)

So you can. Though changing trains is much more fun :D

Me and my fiance have a day pass for the tube...so I may just end up trying to find the ardest route possible :P

Ten, given the fact that the weather is being dodgy and that forecasts suggest another week of turmoil, do you have any suggestions regarding Fridays travel? Id imagine that the trains should still be running anyway, unless youve also had trouble the last couple of days?

Also, and this is hypothetically speaking of course, how late can we be to the event? I dont intend on being late of course, as Id rather be half an hour early to Hammersmith than 5 minutes late.

Lastly, how often does the Underground train leave St. Pancreas to go to Hammersmith? Every 10 or so minutes or does it go every half past the hour, quarter to the hour etc.?

Cheers!

Carbonox_Ratchet, its impossible for me to predict how the trains will run this week :dead: If there arent any problems, the Piccadilly line from Kings X to Hammersmith is pretty good, there are trains every 3-4 minutes.

And dont worry about being late, we wont turn people down just because theyre a bit late ;)

Really? Would you be able to elaborate a bit more for those going tomorrow and Friday?

Sinister
11-02-09, 17:41
all i can say is that its not the shiny building! thats the Loreal building and its in the complete wrong direction, our main problem was we didnt know the street name (which tbh was our own fault) and we went from half an hour early to 5 mins late (though they were still waiting upstairs so we lucked out)

charmed699

I used to go past the Loreal building for 2 years when I went to college in Hammersmith. :P

Theres quite a few game company offices in Hammersmith but I have apretty good idea where Capcoms building is located. If I am correct it is to the right of the Hammersmith line(Pink) when you come out of the station. :)

Thats it charmed, just go right once you exit the station then right again and down hammersmith grove, you cant miss it, its like 2 mins walk from the station.
Enjoy your day tomorrow or on friday everyone.
