An interview with RE5 producer Masachika Kawata.

It doesnt say its definite or whether or not hes serious but I think it would definitely be an excellent concept for the next RE.

Although it was a passing comment, I think his ideas could really apply to a Resident Evil title.

Anyway, Id prefer the next game to be set in Japan. Umbrella Chronicles revealed Japan to be one of the other main Umbrella branches, and the BSAA website focuses on this branch pretty strictly. Especially in regards to how the company folded and that the Japanese branch was looking for potential investors in the company.

If anything, Japan is the last place on Earth where Umbrella had a huge presence, which could make for a good setting.

London or England in general should be considered though. I like the idea of Resident Evil branching off on a more global scale. The second RE5 prequel comic will take place in Brazil so all of this wouldnt be out of the question.

I remember years ago a horror shooter was announced to be set in london, it was set to be awesome, it was going to have all the real locations but destroyed due to a hellgate opening there and you would have to fight through hordes of beasts which were randomly placed and generated

then they decided to make it a shooter/rpg and it sucked

So Capcom, if you can make my dream of fighting monsters in leicester square a reality I would purchase three copies of the game!

Its why I mentioned it passively in the other thread instead of making one, I didnt want it being confused with being confirmed.
