That's right, the giant Lost Planet 2 Salamander is up for grabs! :eek: If you follow me on Twitter (@TenebraCapcom) you know it's huge and beautiful. The thought of departing from him makes me cry a bit.
Win the Gordiant's heart with your poetic skills - either limerick and haiku are accepted. Salamander, Sir Om Nom Nom or Gordiant are all good names for this splendid creature.
Entries to be submitted here by 11.59pm GMT on Sun 28th Feb. Only one entry per person. Entrants must be 16 yo+ and be EU residents. Please keep this thread exclusively for entries.
Whats limerick and haiku?

A Haiku is based upon the number of sylables in each line, but it's actually more complicated than that. Each verse is supposed to evoke something specific, like I think the 4th verse has to evoke a season or something.

I get the limerick part. But the second, what the hell, i dont get it at all.

Swallowed a prototype long-john bomb
After the impact
His trousers were intact
because somehow the long john bomb gone wrong :(

Listening to his belches, his farts and his growls,
I began to explore,
To find the back door,

Well, hopefully this counts, as it is a poem. I don't understand Haiku or Limerick....all I know is that Limerick is a place in ireland, but I think you spell it as Limerich, and a haiku was something to do with a meaningful poem. It's been 6 years or so since I heard the word haiku mentioned. :(
Anyway, here's my entry which hopefully counts:
Look up there, it's Sir Om Nom Nom!
Tell me brother, do you know where it's from?
It wanders these lands, avoiding the sands.
The only place it goes, is where the green grass grows.
I'd better get prepared and climb it with these hands,
but it doesn't smell pretty or nice like a rose.
It's time to defeat the Sir Om Nom Nom,
The beast from the east, that wicked, evil Nom.
I'm sorry my friend, you're the biggest guy around,
but this has gotta end, and you must fall to the ground!
So, eat me now, and poop me out.
Then I can finish you off, and jump and shout.
That was the life of the Sir Om Nom Nom

NEVEC were scared,
But the Snow Pirates were prepared,
They used Mecs and made him all gone-gone-gone

Sir Om Nom Nom ate her like a cow,
for annoying him with her ignorance,
though this old gal gave him a hinderance.
You see this old gal was not ancient
Infact she was just purely pregnant.
What Sir Om Nom Nom did not know
Was Sir Om Nom Nom did a pyscho.
The baby is now eaten with its sweet mom
The father of course was Sir Om Nom Nom
You would think it be a waste of a life
But Sir Om Nom Nom had enough of his wife!

Hope Nom Nom Noms like Street Fighter XD
I think that I shall never see
A fighter lovely as Chun-Li.
A girl who hovers upside-down
Her legs, outstretched, a-spinning ‘round.
Adorned in silk, her hair in buns
A dazzling string of o’s and ones;
Her lightning feet will quickly vex
Those who call dames the gentle sex;
And all her challengers shall hear
Her giggles in their bloody ears.
She even has her own movie.
Which I don’t recommend you see.
On May 18th the Battle is on,

To grab the T-ENG we need,

Theres a beatiful creature named Sir Om Nom Nom
Whos body is black, orange and rather long
some snow pirates jumped on his back,
and begun to attack
but thats when everything goes wrong
Sir Om Nom Nom lets loose a might MROAR!
The pirates get shaken and fall to the floor
He raises his tail
which starts to flail
and smashes the ground with a KA-BOAR!!
The Snow Pirate all run to their Mecs
Which are better known as V.S.
Sir Om Nom Nom is having none of it
and smashes them all to bits
which causes the Pirates to get vexed
They charge up the hill, grab a rocket launcher
and fire at Noms and he flees to his quarters
the Pirates give chase
they want to erase
the Salamander from his home under water
Sir On Nom Nom emerges again
He just wants this fighting to end
he eats up the pirates
but they blow his insides up
and poor Nommy is never seen again
You've probably all read this and laughed
but I put my soul into every part

A colossal figure, draped in fire,
A mighty step that shapes the earth
Beat six, his stance, reflects his dire
His need to kill, his strive in mirth.
Is home a deadly forgotten planet,
Altered by an invading race
His armour thick, strong as granite,
Bask now in his despondent grace.
Amber crystals line his top
And deep within his core resides,
The children of his protective crop
His volcanic empirical insides.
Thrice his column-like limbs fall,
And like a planets final breath
A scream disguised as a roar,
A signal of approaching akrid death.
The once living magma crust,
Cools and fades with bullets rain
The bodies shell to diamonds dust,
His powerful energy begins to drain
And in the wake of his disaster,
An automaton stands filled with his strife.
The creature that was once the master,
Has now come to the end of his life.

There once was a giant salamander,they called him Sir Om Nom Nom,
He was often missunderstood but all he wanted was a man hug from Tom,
He likes to be happy and makes the most of his freedom,
Sometimes he explores the world to fight boredom,
He once had a dream that he was king of a kingdom!
Sometimes he gets upset and swallows some of them,
He only plays with them and does not digest them,
He likes the way them bounce inside his belly, he gets all fuzzy and warm,
They get mad though and start poking with pointy sticks which hurts him,
For he only wanted everyone to know his real name is Mr Fluffy and not Sir Onm Nom Nom!

it comes forth with unmatched frame,
the beat ripples and shudders,

The soft luminous glow speeds,
In a blur it is quick to me,
panic riddles through.
A smitten VS lies beside,
I will not flee nor hide.
Clambering in I rise to bear it down.
CRASH!
crunch, crumbling my armor becomes,
run I must, hide from it,
the tail swung, the metal became paper.
Sparks and flame, a bang,
I drop to a knee,
Sir Om Nom Nom now comes for me.

new life radiates my very fiber!

trampled to dust,
I am now a lifeless thing, akin to the machine.
The grey beast roams away,

He just loves to dance,

Let's just hope he'll never get put in the bin.
