View Full Version : WE NEED 'MUGEN' ON XBOX 360 and PS3
for those who dont know what mugen is, well its a street fighter type game but has MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of characters, go on youtube if you want to know more
Firstly, MUGEN is not a Capcom game, does not belong in this section.
Secondly, use of characters in MUGEN, unless they are original creations, is copyright infringement and therefore illegal, most characters have been ripped from existing games.
Thirdly, the program has no license and is illegal to download (technically), so I doubt you'll ever see a solid copy.

It's not illegal use characters since none earn money from it, your statement would be correct if someone sells it.
It's not illegal to download something without license... where did you heard that?
Anyway, it's impossibile to play it on consoles because of these 2 points.
Using characters without royalties or permission is still infringement, and if MUGEN was released for consoles, that would be gaining money from it.
Also, the creators gone AWOL, the license expired, meaning its technically illegal to download and use it under an outdated terms of usage, although nothing will come of it unless the creator persues it.
Also, how do you suppose people get the Character sprites of existing characters in the first place?
Ripping the Graphics from games is usually never done completely legal, so with this, and the aformentioned reasons by Dante, I'm locking this topic.
