Haha, I've been following this for about a year, and the trailers just look better and better.

I actually saw a 3D trailer for it, when I watched Avatar 3D (Which was amazing, by the way), and it looked spectacular. It got me smiling, and I can't wait for its release in March, now. :D

Yeah, I've been looking forward to this for a while too. Should be a really interesting twist on the story.

I honestly think this is looking to be the worst film Burton has done in a long while.

Well, after Sweeney Todd that is.

I used to love Burton's films, as Corpse Bride and ANBC were excellent, and his older films were just as good.

But I think this film is trying to be too weird and too alternative. It also bugs me that just because Helena Bonham Carter is in a relationship with Burton, she gets a lead role in every film.

I'm also a massive fan of Jhonny Depp, but think his role in this doesn't look very good either.

Nice, a 3D trailer, never got that when when went to see Avatar 3D in Belfast. Alice, Looks excellent, but its a wait for dvd rental, no TECH, no Weapons, no Starships!

I'm fine with that, as not everything has to include explosions and mass death. ;)

Besides, judging from the trailer, it seems like a sequel to the original Alice in Wonderland, as the Mad Hatter says something about "It's you Alice, you're back", so that's what makes me think that.

TZM - Burton made Helena go through auditions in Sweeney Todd, so it wouldn't surprise me if he did the same here.

I dunno, Burton is great, but it's like he's been making the same film over and over the last decade.

Undoubtedly she had to audtion, and she is a good actress...

But I still find it annoying that Burton sticks with the same cast in his films, and they always get the big roles.

It'd be nice to see a Burton film that didn't have Johnny Depp and Carter in it...

Capt.C. I usually go to the cinema for sci-fi spectaculars and the rest I'll watch at home

But it is all about mass death, explosions, high tech weapons and starships :D:D:D:D yes! I love it!

Hmm, probably, as the same cast over and over can get pretty samey, but I do like the look of this.

There's one film though, which I just cannot watch all of the way through (no matter how much I like Johnny Depp), and that's the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.......it's the biggest load of rubbish I've ever seen, and Johnny almost looks like a woman in it. It's so disturbing, and the oompa loompa's are all the same annoying actor.

It took a good film, remade it, and crapified it. :(

Its his style, just look at tarantino´s films, they all have that tarantino feel in them(and thats talking, talking and talking).

I like burton´s film because they are so different, well, every each of his film is similar but i ment that they are different to other films from other directors.
Defi going to the cinema for this movie, i heard about it long time ago and cant wait to see it. I made a decision not long ago that i´ll watch every tarantino/cameron/burton movie in the cinema :)

Btw, 3D trailer? I was also on avatar 3D but i havent seen any 3D trailers :(

I actually liked the remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, as it was closer to the original book.

Nah, it's not so much his style than it is almost every film he's been making recently (read: with Depp) seems devoid of any originality from him.

Chocolate Factory was fine, though.

Aww, I'm all alone in hating the remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, then. :(

It seemed like there was no effort put into it. Where the original had lots and lots of dwarves acting as oompa loompa's, this just had the same guy. It was rather rubbish to me, and his face annoyed me. :(

I know that sounds horrible, but the whole film really made me cringe. Though, maybe it's because I grew up with the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and had the double pack on VHS with The Witches on it, as well.

The witches scared me as a kid, but it was a great film. Then again, ET scared me as a kid, and when his neck grew and he made that "nyah" scream noise, I was petrified he was coming to get me. XD

I grew up with the old film to, and I also happen to like it.

Both films are completely different, and each has their merits and flaws.

Agreed.

Alot of Burton's most recent films have felt "Alternative for the sake of being alternative."

Much like, admittedly, Tarantino has been running dry on originality.

Problem is, Burton has done many more films than Tarantino, so the lack of originality to the films is more prominent.

Beetlejuice, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Big Fish, Batman, Mars Attack, The Corpse Bride, Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow...seriously, what his films have in common is the fairy tale element. He tells fairy tales, that's his art and his genius. It's like complaining that Terry Pratchett only writes the same fantasy books over and over.

I couldn't name an actor who could realistically and effectively portray any of Tim Burton's characters better than Johnny Depp, no complaints from me on that either.

More for me, please! :D

Batman and Batman Returns were awesome! Michael Keaton played the part so well, and I think he's a great actor, as in Beetlejuice, he acts completely different....somewhat uncontrollable and just complete insane. XD

Mars Attacks was funny, and the Nightmare Before Christmas, along with Corpse Bride were absolutely amazing musicals. This is coming from someone who doesn't like musicals at all, with the exception of the Rocky Horror Picture Show (so amazing, haha!). :p

Edward Scissorhands and Sleepy Hollow are two of my favourite films. Depp's Ichabod Crane character was pretty mysterious, and the film was great with Christopher Walken starring as the headless horseman.

Edward Scissorhands is a sad film when you think about it, but it's undeniably great. :D

I always love Tim Burton stuff, which is why I want to see Alice in Wonderland. That, and the fact that I always thought he should do his own dark and twisted version of it, as he pulls things off so well.

When you look at Burton, he looks a bit mad, and that's probably because there's a fine line between genius and insanity, and he's swaying between the two! :p

I couldn't agree with you more, Ten!
