View Full Version : Resident Evil - Degeneration Mobile Game
For those of you who dont know already, the official Degeneration game is out now for mobile phones, its probably been out since the movie release, but I stumbled across it when I was topping up.
Ill buy it myself when I have enough pennies, anyone managed to play it yet? A short review would be nice. :)

Ive seen gameplay footage of it and I personally feel that this game proves how combining RE4s engine with zombies just doesnt work. The pace is ridiculously slow and the difficulty appears to be non-existant.
It does look like a fun game though but should be an indication to the stubborn fans who will do everything to try and make people aware of how zombies are still incredibly prevalent.
I wouldnt say that a game for a mobile phone would completely back up that point, but I agree wholeheartedly that its time to move on to a different kind of enemy, Even Chris Redfield agrees when he was shoving them out of the way at the end of CVX.
They dont have much going for them now, theyre slow, not all that scary, but people are still saddened to see them go, I just hope they appear in RE5 in just a small part, to show that its time for them to shuffle away for good.

Ive seen it and it does look interesting, unfortunately my phone (although pretty decent) wont support it.
Bought it this morning, sorely disappointed, its effectively the same as The Missions 3D but with different skins and terrible THIS IS KENNEDY, COME IN INGRID! THERES A WEAPON IN THE ROOM, GO GET IT. BUT THERE ARE BRAINLESS THINGS AFTER ME. dialogue.
-sigh- theres œ6.99 ill never see again....

Leon:Hunnigan, We have a situation on our hands.
Ingrid:Copy that, so what else is new?
Leon:The man I just rescued told me that a plane is about to take off. And get this: its full of zombies. How is that possible?
Ingrid:Ive got it on-screen now. The auto-pilot must be engaged. Activating the baggage carousels should allow you to board the plane and deactivate the system.
Leon:I sure hope your right.

There are two versions. If youre playing The Missions re-skin, youre probably playing the, for lack of a better word, crapper version.
There is an RE4-style version I hear, I commented on it at my blog. (http://www.capcom-central.com/blog/2009/resident-evil/re-degeneration-game-released-on-n-gage/) Looks like theres some prizes to be won.

Looks better than the Missions version, but I head gameplay is slow (and thus proof that Zombies + RE4 gameplay do not mix =P)
Yeah, thats exactly what it is...
Its fun, just.. lacking.. Since ive done it all before theres nothing to keep me, hell, even after completing it, there are no multiple paths and no hidden extras...
