Chris Kramer seems to have forgotten that Barry Burton officially survived the events of Resident Evil.
Tenebra, next time you see/speak to him, it would be awesome if you could slap him with a trout whilst showing him footage/files that confirm Barrys existance beyond the events of the first game. ;P

That was one f the worst interviews ive seen in a long time. Not because of Chris though.
The Interviewer was terrible.
Anyways, yeah...he needs to be reminded that RE2 contains files saying he survived, and RE3s official ending was the saving of Jill and Carlos in the Copter.
Unless, of course, the series is going back on itself.
But, the guy does have to deal with the entirety of Capcom on a daily basis...so remembering everything must be pretty damned hard.

Id say this is more of a communication issue. It would be damn hard keeping up with everything and keeping everyone within the company in-the-know. That being said, we as fans are always on top of things. =P

Its incompetence, nothing more, nothing less.

Hes the PR Manager for Capcom America as a whole...so he has to deal with Street Fighter, Bionic Commando, Megaman, Resident Evil and Monster Hunter, along with various other games, projects, connections, etc.
To remember whether a minor character died or not in 1 specific game series is not, in my opinion, incompetence.
It is a slight mess up.

Theres hundreds of critical components with dozens of items on the checklist, plus hundreds of keys and indicators in a modern airliner, but if the pilot forgets to lower the landing gear, hes incompetent.
If you judge him by only his Barry mistake, you should be looking further, its evident that the man only knows about RE5 and at best RE4, the other games have been skipped through and Ive even heard he excused himself out by saying he skipped all the cutscenes in the original RE.
Be that as it may, you can easily hide your lack of knowledge with competent wordsplay. Or at least care enough about the franchises youre representing so that you wont encounter mistakes like these. If hes responsible for talking to people, he screwed up when he never got himself in course with Barrys fate as thats one of the pressure points with RE5.
The way I see it, the guy is not good at his job. Why do I think that way? Ive seen better community managers and better interaction between fanbase and development studios.
Bottomline, A) You dont give one man the representation of your whole product lineup if it takes too much work and B) If you dont know the answer, you point towards press statements.

Fair enough I suppose, point proven.
Though I have to say comparing Landing Gear (crucial to the entire flight) and Barry (not crucial to the entire plot of the series) doesnt work IMO.
Pilots miss small things on a regular basis and it gets put down to human error. Sometimes it leads to tragic consequences and the pilot is incompetent, other times it leads to a misshap that the pilot has to get out of and the Pilot is told to lay off for a while to relearn and recoup.
Chris Kramer, having only really seen him dealing with the RE5 stuff has dealt quite well IMO. I put it down to Human Error. Sure, hes the PR guy and is supposed to be good at communicating...but hes also human, and can slip up.
Though, again, this is me talking with a lack of knowledge on previous mistakes he may have made.
