Does anyone think that the first three games should be remade? I love RE3 and hope that it, along with the other two, will be re-made for all consoles so it can be enjoyed by everyone! I also heard that new RE games will not have zombies any more and it wall just be that plaga things. Is this true?

hey friend they already made a remake of the first resident evil :P Never played the rebirth on the cube

Resident Evil 1 REbirth or REmake was released on the Gamecube and has since been ported to the Wii in Japan. So another RE1 remake is unneccessary.
RE2 and RE3, in my opinion, dont need to be remade...itd be a nice little extra, sure...but there is no need.
However, as I explained in another topic (Ill grab the link in a sec), if done right, remakes could be good.

I disagree, I think they should do remake of the games for the newer consoles and the new generations.. let them experience what we have experienced. and i got to edmit the i can t get my hands on the three first games to psx cause there is no place that sell them. if they made the remakes people would be real happy and could acctually get their hands on them...

As I say, RE1 has already been remade and is easily available for anybody that wants it. It costs about œ10 for REmake, and œ20 for a Gamecube...thats less than a brand new game for a console and game.

They can, by playing the games as they are. By playing a remake, they are experiencing something entirely different. REmake and RE1 are almost completely different games.

RE2 has been released on the PC, Dreamcast, GameCube and N64. It will also eventually be available on the PSN.
RE3 has been released on the PC, Dreamcast and GameCube, with an eventual release on the PSN.
Couple this with the œ30 spent on buying REmake and a GC, and you have the full 3 games available for fairly cheap. You also then have access to Zero, Code Veronica X and Resident Evil 4.
If you opt for a Wii instead of GameCube, then on top of the above 6 games, you can also get your hands on Umbrella Chronicles and the RE4 Wii-port. Totalling 7 or 8 games, depending on how you look at it.
Near enough every game within the RE series is readily available both online and at a physical retailers, and near enough for every console that has ever been released since the PSX.
EDIT:
It is also worth noting that Retailers can and will order items in for their customers. If you cannot find a copy in the store, they can order it in, or hold one for you if they happen to get it.
This is how I managed to get my copy of the original PSX version of RE1. I had to wait almost 2 years before the shop got a copy in to hold for me, but they managed to get it eventually.

They dont need to remake RE1, but 2 & 3 would be interesting. I think they should use the new RE 4/5 gameplay style, as I beileve it would work without casuing any downgrading.
Many people dont like the newer resi games (including fans) but the style is here to stay, and I, personally, enjoy it, even though I prefer the old setting in Racoon City. I think the modern resi gameplay and the old setting would work fine imo.
I think they should all be remade on the Playstation 3:)! That would be great especially Resident Evil 2

i know that you can buy the games the other consoles but i can t afford buy them.. and ebay is an good altrnative but i whant the original and i can t get them here in sweden

There was an interview I think on gametrailers.com that they had Jun Takeuchi saying that theyve heard are calls for a re-make and that they are thinking about it.

Thats not a remake, thats just a port.
But either way, if you were wanting remakes, youd still have to pay full price for them...whilst buying the original copies on the GC, and buying a GC would cost less than buying the remakes...

Id luv to see RE2 remade in the same way RE was and if they are going to do that then RE3 is the next logical step. Id hate to see them get the RE4/5 treatment.
