View Full Version : Games you have beaten recently
Looking through my collection, it was kinda frightening to see how many games still incomplete a year or so after buying them, so I thought, if we all kept track of what we beat, it'd be more rewarding to brag about it here. :D
I've recently beat Call Of Duty World At War, Modern Warfare 2 and Darksiders.
Hehe, I like this thread.
I've also recently completed MW2...the Single Player mode anyway.
I've also finished off Tales of Vesperia. Not the best ending in the world. I'm not sure if this counts as being completed, as it's a short, arcade-style game, but I completed Mushihimesama Futari Version 1.5. Bloody hard isn't the phrase I would use...
Chrono Trigger on SNES. Wow, what an epic game... Also The Darkness on 360 - great game too!
I've done Modern Warfare 2, Prof. Layton and Pandoras box, and I'm about to beat Zelda spririt tracks. None of them are 100%'s though, just storyline.
Only game I've beaten recently is Resident Evil 5's story mode (finally, game's been laying around for quite some time)
Before that was Bayonetta, on it's release date. xD

Devil May Cry (last week), Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad (yesterday) and am SO close to finishing Tomb Raider III

I've made it my mission to complete as many games this year as I can. It's disgusting seeing the amount of incomplete games I have. D:

I finished Lady Bayonetta's all star climactic pole dancing adventures. I guess if it counts I have also gone through Mushihimesame Futari 1.5 on different moves. There are a few arcade games like Shadow Complex and the Max I finished. Well going back to December I went through Tekken 6, Ghostbusters and Tales of Vesperia.
I also get to finish something weekly like I am in a version of Groundhog Day. :p
Off topic, but my friend met the girl in your avatar in an airport the other day.

Was Tina in the UK or did your friend meet her in the States? I would die to even be within 100 metres of the legendary lady Tina Fey! The woman is like living comedy on the move. Lemon out!
I think it was Gatwick... I just caught his status update on Facebook
Hm, the last game i´ve beaten waas.... god of war II(god of war collection). Briliant game. Currently im on resistance 2
Well, I didn't totally beat this game (but too long to finish it entirely xD), I recently finished all the stories in Story Mode of Warriors Orochi 2 on PSP.
I am close to beating Infamous, hopefully have it done tomorrow on the evil side.
Then it's on to dark Void.

With the amount of new games being released and old ones worth another play thru, I find myself in the same postion.
I just beat RE5 on offline co-op (normal) with my sister (her first play thru), I'm nearly done on my Professional play thru of it (although it wouldn't let her join me for the Wesker Jill confrontation). I'm just about to escape from the ship for the final Wesker battles.
I've completed Halo ODST.
I'm working my way thru Lost Planet as well, whilst battling thru the Orange Box. And storming thru Halo 3 and I'll cum back to Alone in the Dark later on. :)
Ghostbusters, King Of Fighters XII, Modern Warefare 2 and Tatsunoko Vs Capcom UAS...

Oh hmm, a lot lol. Sherlock Holmes vs Jack the ripper, Darksiders ( apocalyptic ) New Super Mario Bros ( Wii ), Cod 5, Cod 2......
I completed Minish Cap again yesterday. I'm going through all the Zeldas for the end of the year. Only Majora's Mask (which I've yet to complete fully), Four Swords for Gamecube and Twilight Princess.
Today I finished resistance 2, the ending was... well, my mouth was open like for a minute, i cant believe how it end! Anyone who has beaten resistance 2 who shares my feelings?

I played killzone multiplayer, it sucks, resistance is better in multi.
I tried infamous demo, i didnt like it but maybe its because i was currently playing prototype and infamous in comparison seemed really slow :)

Probably Another Code: R for the Wii, but I'm not really sure
just finished Ratchet and Clank: Crack in Time
.... anybody who knows ratchet and clank knows that at the end of the game, you get a choice to either play the last boss again or start on "Challenge mode", and i got soo crazy last night because i accidentally pressed re-play and i had to defeat the final boss all over again!!!! uuuggh.
Just completed Lost Planet, now on to the Orange Box :D

You know...I haven't completed a single game recently.
Last game I did was Assassin's Creed 2 and Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines...but I did them before christmas.
I have started a few games recently, Borderlands, Broken Sword: Director's Cut, and Oblivion...but I'm nowhere near completing any of them.
Broken Sword and Oblivion I've completed before though...
Just completed Lost Planet, now on to the Orange Box :D
Oh, orange box... the first game for pc i ever bought :)(i have PC only like 4 years). Enjoy it, for that price, its stealing :D.
But dont forget while playing portal: the cake is a lie :D. And hey, in episode 2, i recommend doing gnom chompski achievement, look it up on youtube. I dont want to beat episode 2 again for that achievement... maybe like 2 percent of the people on steam have that achievement :D.
Oh, i forgot. The last game i beat was mass effect on PC 2 days ago. One word: EPIC. Just playing trough mass effect 2. Two words: MORE EPIC. I dont know how is that possible but bioware did it - they made a perfect game even better.

The Cake isn't a lie. It's a Black Forest Gateaux with 1 candle on top.

I just googled it, just...wow.
I really, really want that cake on my 18th birthday, thanks for the info TZM, i never dreamed that the cake could be real
I'm glad I'm not the only one that has too many games and not enough completions! :)
I've recently finished Darksiders and Broken Sword for the iPhone. :)
Next on the list is Mass Effect 2 I think.
the last game i completed was Resident Evil 4 on normal, going to try proffessional next. also have to finish MGS 3, FFX and Dragonquest VIII

The orange box is a steal :) I've only just got up to the prison after the ant-lions/sandtraps, my favourite bit is the Tri-pods battle (can't remember their name at the mo) in the square with the rebels. Portal will have to wait until much latter wanna get thru this and Ep 1 & 2 first. I'll check out that acheivement later. Thanx dude! great game tho love it :D
Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time and Demon Souls. Beating Dante´s Inferno soon and then I´ll try to beat Whitte Knight Chronicles that will probably steal my life

Got a new 360 yet again (8th) so now it can load up the rest of Far Cry 2, hoping to finally finish that later.
Haven't got much others that need completing & Bioshock 2 is just round the corner.
I fell asleep playing that.
haha, was it really that boring or were you just really tired?
I finished Borderland's story today. :)
Thanks to this thread for motivating me to finish something. xD

Did you get any unlockables or special stuff for carrying ur character over??? Completed it on normal and I'm about half way thru Hardest Diff, would be interesting to no if you get anything different stats wise even.
Completed Dark Void :0
Good wee game, could do with a couple of expansion packs though and a world massive enough for a Fallout 3 roam around with that sick jet-pack :)

Just finished the predator section of AvP.
Went through Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 the last week or so. ME2 is bloody amazing, kind of depressed it's over now. LT, you get a bonus to money and starting level if you import - not much though.

That. Pretty much.
Not sure about stuff varying level but you certainly get a a lot of credits and start at level 4, I think.

Nice One D. thanx. bit of extra cash is good, not sure which character to port over when I get ME2, or to finish the Hard Diff or not, I have to check out the benefits online see wots been said about it.
Depressed, thats how I felt about Fallout 3 (without DLCs at the time) when I finshed it, so sad :( Not doubt there'll be a couple of DLC levels to add in the future, maybe 4, sounds a good number to me, I think there was only 2 for ME1.
Thanx again :)
Well that was a good guess, just checked out the ME2 offical website and .....

Firewalker Pack
The Hammerhead assault vehicle is coming to the Cerberus Network in late March!
Free to all Cerberus Network members, the Firewalker pack includes 5 all new missions featuring the Hammerhead. Click here (http://eu.masseffect.com/extra/?id=14738&lang=en) to find out more.
Additionally we will be revealing a new heavy weapon available to all Cerberus Network members very soon. Stay tuned for more info on this new addition to the Mass Effect 2 arsenal, coming this month!
Not 4 but 5 new missions for DLC, sorry for hi-jacking the thread :)
I´ve just beaten Metal Gear Solid!!!
Im SO happy and amazed, how unique experience the whole game was, im speechless...
I have a copy of the game from England, bought it on ebay before it was released on PSN. Although it was slightly more expensive than from PSN, im very happy i have almost intact copy(almost because the cd´s are a bit scratched but perfectly playable) of one of the greatest games ever made :). Guys, if you havent bought it yet, buy it now on PSN :)
Today, I beat all 64 Missions of Sega All-stars Racing with AAA rank.
That offers more then the game's 6 Grand Prix campaigns, since the final mission is a rather nasty boss battle against a *Censored for spoiling* ;D
This is a very fun game, even though I am not a fan of racing games. 8-)

Nice one mister Jarl and hope you did not forget to tell Billy to do something about those crows.
It is a really fun game while going through everything that can be unlocked! The 4 player on tiny screens is evil though...my eyes daddy.... they burn! :)
Speaking of daddies I have finished Silent Hill Shattered Memories on the Wii, since it came on Thursday. I got hugged to death by faceless ladies a few times! :D
Justbeat New Mario Bros Wii, in bothe single player and 2 player. I much prefer the DS version...this one seems so empty other than mini-bowsers. They brought back some nostalgia :o

I've just finished Batman Arkham Asylum - superb game, i'm having trouble with the combat challenges though :chin:
Any advice would be great, as i'm trying to get all the achievments now.
I can haz completed Prof. Layton curious village. Easier than the second, and I do still have 1 puzzle left to solve.
Last game probably was Mass Effect. It's been a while since I was thís excited about a game, haha. Working on Mass Effect 2 now. I want to finish it by the end of the week, so I can start on Final Fantasy XIII when it's released next week ^^

Those challenges are so hard to beat and slightly confusing! I am trying to do them too but might just send the disk back to rental service.Did you get all of Mr Riddler's challenges too? They all seem to revolve mostly around sneaking around. :)
If your trying to beat up all the party guests and have not succeeded either, try to stick foam bombs near them, before starting the Fight club. :)
I technically finished Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 yesterday as I finally caved(gasp! ;)) in and got the "Black Label" mode or "Black Lavel" as us Westerners like to call it.
Also finished Animal Kororo that I recently got to make a review on site which will be up today.

Yeah I have the party guest achievement :)
The Riddler challenges i've just hit 75% (85% needed for next achievement) collected, it's the Joker teeth that are the most tricky as they don't show up on the map. :chin:

I had my speakers on quite loud so it was always easy to listen to them laughing in the background. For me it is some of the challenges where you need to do close ups that I missed, as I was not aware of the clicking thing you do until later on in the game, in order to get them! :)
I was in the same boat actually - holding down left shoulder whilst being in detective mode is quite contrived!
Next on my list is one of the following; thoughts....
* Dead Space
* Star Wars Force Unleashed
* Splinter Cell Double Agent
* Rainbow 6 Vegas 2
In short I have a tonne of games that I need to play before I even look at Resi 5, LP, and Street Fighter!

Well having played through Dead Space you really need a strong stomach, as it is more gross than frightening.
I was lucky to go do this fun pr real life Rainbow Six shooting and try the 2nd game. Just from trying it there was enough for me to want it. The game is a lot easier to get to grips with than other Splinter Cell titles. The locations are very flashy but I never tried it on co-op.Now
Double Agent is hardcore and you will need some serious patience for it.I could not go beyond the 3rd or 4th level! :)
As for Star Wars it starts to get a tad repetitive after a while, but it has its moments.
If your looking to start on one of them I would say Dead Space or R6V2.
I also recommend Aliens Versus Predator for I went through a lot of sleepless nights for that. :D
Oh, give me a shout if you want a partner on RE5 for professional. I dont even mind being the lovely lady Sheva. The same applies to SF4 as me and Cammy are always up for a new challenger.

As a capcom employee, you should play capcom games first :D
A usefull advice, as good as force unleashed looks, its really bad, put it on the bottom of your list. As for dead space and rainbow six vegas 2, i beat both, they are great, i aprove that :).
About capcom games, street fighter is a must, re5 is fun with a friend and i dunno about LP
Thanks for the heads up on my next game.
As a capcom employee, you should play capcom games first :D
A valid point - I've jumped into all of them (LP, R5 and SFIV) but none are games to take lightly, hence the need to give them all a clear run!
In short, publishers should stop working so hard *pat on back* and for a least 3 months of the year not release any titles. Giving slow bods such as myself some time to catch up on 2 years worth of titles.
On the X360 alone, there were a staggering 187 games released in 2009. granted I don't want to play all of them but even 25% of those equates to 1 a week for a year!

Definitely try Dead Space, it has a fantastic atmosphere and feels very isolating to play - preferred it to the main story in RE5 as well. I'm going to play SF4 when my PS3 starts working again.

Lady Sheva is very dissapointed with you mister Fonix!Don't you know that gaming is serious business? :D I know what you mean as I jumped into Bioshock 2 which was followed by avp again and yet have not finished Bioshock 2 or Avp(again).
Is there not a slow period during Summer though, except we are all out in Festivals or in swimming pools, most of the time. :p
