Here is mine for the moment until I change it for something else. There is not a lot of software installed due to a clean install last week, but the pc is now whole and healed again. :)

I'm using one of Windows 7 default templates, the landscape one. Some day I'll look for something better :D

A lot of the programs and stuff on my desktop are to do with my job. If I told you, I'd have to kill you.
Mine changes every 3 minutes...
In the collection, there are Devil May Cry 4 official wallpapers, Windows 7 standard + UK set + IT set, some car themed wallpaper, and miscellaneous.
Can't post my work one, but the background is the 3D Windows logo from XP.
Home is ... I think it's the architecture set from Windows 7, and I've got the default icons and Firefox
No way I can do that :p

Come on guys and post some desktop images otherwise I will start putting up a new wallpaper for another screenshot soon. :p
Actualy I do have a neat Sonic walpaper on my Uni account in the Sun station labs at Uni.
Years ago I used to have a unix box as my workstation, and I used a windows manager called enlightenment.
I had 9 screens (the scrollable kind) and, as the machine was never turned off (it was also a webserver) I had tonnes of terminal windows and browsers open (thank god for tabbed browsing).
Anyway, you could assign specific themes to each terminal window, which was awesome. My email had a wallpaper I got from the Starbucks site, and I know I had one of the awsome 90's Megaman artworks for something.
I miss enlightenment. If you had the knowhow, it was infinitely customisable, and was one of the most beautiful and streamlined windows manager I've ever seen.
*edit* Just looked it up for nostalgia purposes, and it looks like it's actually doing rather well... http://www.enlightenment.org/

It's a Kubuntu KDE 4 Desktop with :DChipped Icon Set! The Desktop Folder has been hidden for ... purposes ...:D and the Wallpaper mainly selected because it's Green.
The Gadgets may have been scaled too large, but I will see how smaller will do...! (thanks) ... KDE turned out to be pretty cool! (KDE 4.1 was baaaaaaad.)

I did, but I'm not sure what to make of it, it could really do the original justice, but it's already a good movie, and Basil Poledouris passed away, without his music it will never be the same.
Yeah, I'll admit it i'm a Halo fan.

I'd rather not post mine since it needs a good clean-up. It's covered in old shortcuts that I don't use and have forgotten about. I've currently got a Fallout 3 background, but I'm thinking of switching to a Bioshock 2 one or maybe a FFXIII one, or if I can find one, Gizmo from Gremlins.

I found the BG picture in a massive archive of gun photos, they were supposed to be real guns, but this one seems to be a soft-air toy. You can find the real one in racoon city.

I have a mac mini and a mac book pro and they both cycle through about 20 different pictures every time i turn them on. I got stuff like Final fantasy, DMC, zotoichi, star trek, zelda, tekken, halo, resident evil, metal gear and a shed-load of street fighter pictures. the usual geek stuff really.
