View Full Version : New year's resolutions anyone?
I dont do them, its just not my style; I tend to think, ponder and make decisions pretty much 340 days a year - some are good, some are bad, some are not challenging enough and get binned, some collide with other more important resolutions and also get dropped. So far my only resolution is to make more time for my friends, who get pretty much neglected but still put up with me.
How about you guys?

I used to do a resolution when I was younger...my primary school used to try and get us to stand up in assembly and tell the whole school how we would resolve to work harder, or do our homework or some lie like that.
After a while, I realised that they were mostly just lies and people trying to back themselves up (I tried to keep to my diet, but I broke in the end. Theres always next year though ).
So now I stick to the idea that I will try and change my life in my own time, and do what is right by me...365 days of the year I make resolutions that are sometimes broken, and sometimes not.
cant tend to keep them so i dont do them any more lol
I tend to make open resolutions that dont mean that much, anything more significant is in my life goals anyway, to be honest I think most people forget them at the end of January.

Well lets see:
-I want to put m,ore hours into my studies to go on to 3rd year of Uni as I want to get even better grades.
-Also want to start going out more often to gigs,expos,etc like back in the good old days!
- I wiill problably have to find a new buddy that always agreed to go anywhere as I lost touch with the one I had so applications for gig buddies are open!
-Wouldnt mind getting my first part time job if even on experience as no one ever calls me back after interviews and I would love to be able to help my mom or get some experience.
And that looks like quite a list but most important is to make the most of everyday and play Resident evil 5 too!
My new years resolution is to get a house or at least a flat.
It sure beats my last years resolution to get to level 200 in Phantasy Star Online.... which i failed :(

I stopped making new years resolutions many eons ago. As a goal for this year though is to finish University with decent grades and hopefully later land a gig somewhere I want to work. Capcom would be nice!

Im getting the impression that very few people made new years resolutions this time. Last night I went back to training for the first kung fu class of the year and there were only 3 new people, when usually we get an invasion in January - by February were always back to normal :D

I was originally thinking Wing Chun for the philosophy side but I have to travel a bit for it. All Im really left with is Shotokan Karate and Tae Kwon Do, Karate wins that one. Anythings good though so long as it helps me let off a little aggression.
I did some 10 years of Shotokan, I did enjoy it at the time (clearly). I can see its limitations now but it gives pretty decent foundations for other martial arts as well if you keep your mind flexible :)

Yeah I forgot to like you know put my light on like I did with my Chrimsas Message (search youtube for that and youll find it, if you dare!). I was actually much better on Hogmanay/New Years than I was Christmas, far too much drink with friends and neighbours on that night plus I got a new hat that Im so proud of I show it off.
Why do I subject myself to this torture and pain?!?!? Oh yeah cause its for fun for me.
PS Chrimsas is not a mistype. ;) Oh and Warning its not a pretty sight, handsome, but not pretty. :p

Wheres the video then Diablo with the hat and also I always wished I could level up to 200 on PSO dreamcast when I played it for nights in the last few months of the server being up! Well it didnt help that I spent most of the time talking to this girl on it from Ireland. :P
