View Full Version : PC Sound Problem ?
I have noticed other people are having problems with the game crashing to desktop when audio is enabled.I am having that problem,my card is a sound blaster Audigy 2 zs I have updated all drivers for my pc including directx still no go.I have emailed capcom support but still no reply.Any suggestions for a fix.Thanks for any replys....

Got through to support today and they suggested it could be caused by game getting confused over which sound device to use.
If you open the DXDIAG tool and it displays more than one sound tab then the game may be using wrong device.
In my case I had a voice/fax modem showing as sound device in DXDIAG, I assume the game was trying to use this.
I had to uninstall the modem to remove it from sound tab in DXDIAG (disable didnt remove).
MOTGP08 then ran fine with sound. b)

Thanks KEEKEE problem fixed,I didnt need to unistall my modem I had modem on and went to system device manager sound & video controllers right click & disabled Unimodem Half-Duplex Audio Device this removed sound 2 from DXDIAG Just have to have modem on & active when playing game.Thankyou very much....
worked for me too !!!..... .....i can now play with sound !!!.....mind you its not brilliant but hey ...i now got sound !!!.....had to uninstall the smartlink modem that was on my pc but seeing as i use a router it matters not...gonna rip it out tomorrow so that will free up a spare pci slot....bonus !!!!:) :) :)
