Well, usually they are about £8-9 each but one of the instructors at my kickboxing club got an unbelievably good bulk price for our weapons training course.
They're just plain rattan, heat treated and varnished. Not got the fancy burn patterns up them, but at the price who cares? :p
They're sorting us a good price on butterfly swords next, happy days :)
A Heffalump plushie. €6
A elven figurine on a wolf. €12

Sweet! Good to know these things for those who don't hehe
Good thread idea Steve :)
Let me see... Lunch was butterflied chicken fillet on garden salad. Chicken was rubbery. And then a copy of the Guardian, a pepsi and drinks at the pub last night. Huh, not an exciting 24 hours purchase-wise.
Got money, went to Tescos up the road to pick up Dark Void and no, we don't stock games. Gutted!
Its Raining its Windy and I ain't going nowhere.
Hmmm...nice lipstick, make up remover, foundation, moisturiser. What a girl :D

I actually deliberately tried to have a sugar rush once. I spent about £2 on chocolate and the most e-numbery sweets I could find (where did bursting bugs go?) and washed it all down with a pint of coke.
Result: Dissapointment.
Much better was when me and a friend got a crate of stubbies and a load of skittles to make skittlebrau. You can't use chipped skittles as the insides react to the beer and make it go everywhere (EVERYWHERE), but if you get a perfect one, it works real nice

I have a plan. Oh actually, wait, I have had a caffine rush, it was terrible. I was so bored. I was in town, and I had 9 small cups of coffee (free refills) and I was talking to friends, playing my PC engine and going for a skate every 5 minutes. So glad when it wore off.

Considering the shade of the foundation(*), I've got to agree that it would perfectly suit any goth of the opposite sex :p

Here I thought I'd see people's purchases in terms of games, movies, music. Boy was I was surprised to see "Chicken and sweetcorn soup". Part of me thought "...what game is that?" ha!
Recently bought Yui's new single 'Gloria' which I got in the post yesterday. Quite amazed it only took 3 days tops to get to me from Japan by standard airmail! Pre-ordered FFXIII Soundtrack and perfume (yes!). Now rationing the rest of my monies and praying I can find a new graduate job oh so soon!
As with all things it corrupted.:p

I get more money soon enough, just a few days.
I had to spend the last of my money on food & drink.
Before I had 4p to my name, I bought myself:
Broken Sword 1 - DS £7
Creation (DVD) - £10
4 x The Times Newspaper (1 each day) £1.60
4 x Chocolate Milkshake £4
4 x Fruit Juice £3
And now I sit and wait for the next installment of cash :P
I see some essentials on that list: game and film.

I'm actually pretty good with my money. I make sure I can survive for the month before I buy myself anything nice.

Wow bargain of the week. Went in a new Tesco's in Islington and got myself some bread for the awesome price of 10p!!! :O Now I can have toast all day woohoo!
Ah, hot buttered toast. I like cooking, but I could happily eat a loaf of bread.
Ok, I don't know if this counts as a purchase... I just bought a steak sandwich and 2 spring rolls with a £20 note. Now I have £20.75.
So... I'm in profit.

Whoever was on the checkout, clearly had no sleep.
Last things that I bought (well, pre-ordered 5 minutes ago) were Aliens Vs Predator: Hunter Edition, and Heavy Rain: Collectors Edition. Both are at HMV, and it will be so fun playing pranks on people in my house, with a fake facehugger. :p
I'll start off by putting it under my mum and dads bed covers.

Oh and Army of T.W.O 40th day. < I will let you know if it's any good later.
I know it's a long way off but I am thinking of pre-ordering Lost Planet 2 off play.com as it as £29.99 at the moment. Reckon it will go up? Or should I wait it out?

22-01-10, 18:38
Nah, it'll stay that way, Joe.
I'm pretty sure of it, as they quite often have games listed at £30 new.
Last time I bought a game was a fair bit away, as currently I'm pre-ordering games and I don't count it as a purchase as I haven't been charged for them yet.
I did however just pay
Rent: £175
Council tax: £136
Ah the joys of living, most of the money goes to bills and stuff.
I did as well re-pre-order (yeah I'll mention it) Bioshock 2 special edition from game, and cancel my order on play. As I can get staff discount (boyfriend) off the one from game :).

Old age!!
Lulz. Could be a number of things. I used to do a lot of jogging until i started getting knee aches from fluid build up on the knee. I don't do road running anymore because of it. Clicks might be loose cartilage or just ligaments twanging into place. Is it swollen?
Anything happen to set it off? Any other aches or things wrong with you? Bad foot making you pimp walk?
For joint health I take glucosamine sulphate everyday, in doses of 1500mg per day it repairs joint tissues. I highly recommend it. It's the same chemical compound all of our connective tissues are made from, but it's a substance that is not found in many foods. They make it from crushed crab shells i think. It's not the cheapest though, about £20 for a month's supply and the cheaper versions I have found to be not as good (and the vegetarian version they sell in Holland & Barrets is rubbish). I buy the glucosamax stuff, it works really well for me. Full of crabby goodness.
I tend to stock up when they have a 3 for 2 offer on vitamins in Boots, that and Wellman Sports vitamins.
As they say, if symptoms persist always seek medical advice :p
No ache, I considered arthritis, as I used to skate, but it probably isn't. That and it wasn't hurting when it was colder earlier this month.
I guess I may have some kind of ligament damage I suppose. I'll see how it goes, but thanks for the vitamin heads up Mr Miagi

No problem Tommy-san. *claps hands together and rubs them vigourously* ooooyyyyyy.
Glucosamine is often recommended for arthritis, good for ligament repair too - my thumb is completely back to normal after my injury now.
That was about 1 month? Not bad I guess.

Haha, same Soop!
My cat scratched me, and it went in pretty deep once.
To my surprise, it sealed itself back up in 10 minutes. I thought it was a bit mad that you could heal that fast, but hey. Maybe something I ate helped it heal faster, haha.

I heal pretty quick too, but ligament and joint damage usually is quite hard to fix. I still get gip from my back and that happened about 9 years ago :P
CaptainCortez
25-01-10, 11:25
I can run, jump, hop and balance on my leg that I severed my ligament in, late last year.
I think if you get lots and lots of exercise going, then it will help tenfold. My leg hurts sometimes still, but it's more of an ache than anything.
It clicks, and in the cold goes really stiff, and when I run, as my foot hits the ground, the shock of the impact goes up through my ligament-free knee. :p
From what I know of, ligaments cannot heal theirself, and need to be reconstructed with surgery. Funny though, I was up and about within a week and a half of doing it.
It doesn't give way or anything, now. I guess I got over it pretty quickly, but then I was hugely determined to.
I still haven't tried jumping off of things, as I can't fully bend it yet. It just goes about 95% of the way back.
I don't think it's that then. And as far as I can remember, I haven't done anything to damage it either.
CaptainCortez
25-01-10, 11:58

Comic books. Amazing Spidey, Ultimate Spidey and SFIV#4. Overspent, UGH!
Yesterday I was looking for Specsavers, as OMG Boots Opticians are expensive!
So I was on the hunt for it, and walked by River Island, thought I'd pop in, (needed a new pair of jeans). Saw a quite nice looking pair, they were £25 in the sale, marked down from £45. Went and tried them on, came out and went to pay for them. Lady ran them through the till and they were now £12.50! I turned round and they had just put a huge sign on the sale stuff saying there was a further 50% off all the sale items :D I thought that was quite good :D
I then also got a ham and emmental toasted sandwich from work's bar, I feel they're quite pricey at £2.90 but it's yummy.
Good going with the chicken and Jeans!
I got:
Play and charge kit (360) £3
Wireless N adaptor (360) £9

Have you watched any of the Gordon Ramsey on tour series? Your poussin reminds me of the biryani they were shown how to make by a master curry maker - two whole goats were stuffed with chickens, the chickens were stuffed with quails and the quails were stuffed with eggs.
