This happened to me and some friend two days ago.
I'm Spanish, and when I registered this account I guess I chose "Spanish language" somewhere. But looks like Spanish doesn't actually exists on the language database, so, when I tried to read any page, I got a php error message saying, more or less: "that language doesn't exist and the only thing you will see while you doesn't change it is this nice and neat white background". The problem solved when I switched the language to English.
