This my first topic but I want to know what you think? Personally I think they should make a Resident Evil for the PSP. It would probably be good fun. But would the screen size affect gameplay, do they need the extra buttons on a controller. I dont know but yet again I want to hear your opinions.

You can play all Ps1 Resi games on disc on the PSP via PS3 remote play
But yes I would like a PSP persific Resi game.

Back when this forum was really active, I remember there being an announcement that Capcom would be making a RE game for the PSP.
For years I backed these topics up with this statement...but now I really do have to question it.
Id love to a see more RE games specifically for the PSP...but the chances of them being anything other than cheap ports? Minimal.

They produced a Degeneration game for mobile, so why not? I think it would sell well.
the psp is made for resi games! just imagine a camping trip, its dark, its cold, your facing blood thirsty zombies and your battery is running low!
it gets my vote.
Only if they made it relevent to the series in terms of story.

Back in the days it was announced in Famitsu that a new series of Resident Evil was coming to PSP. Nothing really came out of it, which is a shame. Im really fond of PSP, but the system is lacking some major brands like that.
On the bright side of things, Sony is pushing hard for developing more PSP games via PSN, which is something more developers are likely to take advantage of.
-Its funny jm1987 mentions Wii. Fact is that in most cases when a game is being developed for all platformes, people usually go for the 360 version, then the PS3, then the PSP, then Wii, then finally DS.
This is at least something Warners, Disney and EA are fully aware of, so they know where to spend their time and money [on for example focusing more on a PSP version as opposed to the Wii version].
In any case, RE is a really big brand, and if done right it could potentially even be a system seller [like Monster Hunter was in Japan].

The last game that make me addicted to the PSP was Killzone: Liberation, since then I havent bought any game (I won one or two in contests). I only use it for vacations and some trips, when Im at home the PS3 takes control :D

The Silent Hill: Origins port to PS2 wasnt as good as the PSP version, so there is hope for Resident Evil to debut for PSP.

I doubt that there will be one on PSP, there was one on DS ( Deadly Silence,Remake of the 1st ). So i think they ll continue with the DS instead of makin one for the PSP.

Agreed. Origins was a really good game on the PSP, and the PS2 port was just kind of....meh.
Id like to see Capcom take advantage of the PSP with the RE franchise. Even if it was just another addition to the Survivor series.

I think a RE game for PSP would be great, but it would only work with the fixed camera angles. I dont know if Capcom would want to go back to that, and if they did whether the RE fanbase would start wanting more of the fixed cameras.
if they can put their energy in the psp.
Then the Wii disurves all so a chance.
