From what I recall, its nothing but rumors.

There was talk that there would be a new game out for PSP, then it turned out that it was more than likely a re-release with additional content but nothing has been confirmed.

I really would love to see DMC on the PSP regardless of whether or not its a re-release. Since god of war had a PSP counterpart (and imho, god of war is very much a rip-off of devil may cry, and DMC is always > GoW; Note: its 100% my opinion, dont flame me for this), Itd be great to have a PSP counterpart for DMC too.

But then again, wed have to consider the fact that although monster hunter was popular in japan, it owes its popularity also due to its multi-player function, which DMC lacks. And i believe in the western market, GoW is generally more popular (at least when i asked most of my friends here and in america, they all prefer GoW coz of the muscles or something). I just hope DMC would end up on the PSP anyway =P coz i will most definitely get it.

Itd be hard to get the controls perfect though, itd use all the buttons for various things but thered be no room for camera control, changing the type of game would just ruin it, theyd have to be creative as to how they will pull it off perfectly whilst maintaining a fast and enjoyable level of gameplay without an annoying camera thats occasionally a problem for the full game.

im pretty sure that can be fixed by letting the D-pad do the camera control (like in Monster Hunter), since the D-pad is pretty much useless in the console counterparts (you can always access those menus when you pause anyway). The only problem would be weapon switching.

Maybe have left and right be for turning the camera angle while the up/down button on the d-pad switch weapons? (just a rough speculation, i can tell itd be hell to switch weapons with the d-pad, though ive never tried so ill never know xD [cant play DMC atm to try it out]) I actually seldom change the camera angles anyway when i play DMC >.< (rarely have to)

Generally, the camera is okay for me, I have noticed a few glitches on occasion but its not been a problem.

The D-pad would probably be used like in DMC3 to access menu items quickly, I suppose the select button would be good for basic camera control, like switching between angles and such, but weapon switching would be hard, I suppose itd just be basic selection like in Devil May Cry 1, with one weapon at a time.

would certainly be a welcome addition even though my PSP has just died:cry:
