I don't know if I get a instant banhammer for even mentioning that movie, but it has gotten a new level of fame:

The combination of a shallow plot and miscast performers renders Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li a perfectly forgettable video game adaptation.

I have seen it and well, I can't make it unseen.

The memory of it is still hurting, right? There's absolutely no connection to the Street Fighter brand except for the names?

As far as I know Capcom doesn't get any creative input with the movies

I dream of the day that Moviemakers take the route that Iron Man, The Hulk, and Batman Begins & The Dark Knight have taken.

The only decent Game-to-film adapatation I've seen is Silent Hill (ingoring the CGI films of Final Fantasy and Resident Evil, as they were also good, but in a different category), and even Silent Hill wasn't that good.

I brought this on BluRay on release day to find out it's the censored version =[ I want more violence to make up for it!

chun li was the closest thing to street fighter and even then 'spinning bird kick' was rubbish.

lol that explains a lot ;p imo Anderson (as in Paul "the internet hates me but i dont care cos i pulled milla jovovich" WS Anderson) isnt really a bad director, Mortal Kombat (the original, where he only direceted) wasnt that bad, his cinematografy is quite good but he is catagorically the worst writer in hollywood and thats saying something

Event Horizon is a really good film, but the rest of Anderson's films are terrible.

Also, the animated Street Fighter Movie was really good, especially compared to the live action films...

i havent seen event horizon, i ll have to check it out, yep the animated sf2 was awesome, alpha was horrible though, i dont know why they deviated so much from the computer game canon with that one

Event Horizon is awesome! It's strikingly similar to the atmosphere (and Plot) of Doom 3. Great film, but that's all I can say about Paul "Talent Vacuum" WS Anderson. Atleast Uwe Boll hasn't got his hands on Capcom yet! What can we expect? Blanka and E. Honda as main characters?
