Don't have much hope. Just see how the first CvS came to exist...

Capcom and SNK were THE rivals of the 90s, and the capcom vs SNK and SNK vs Capcom tittles were made under a contract that has long been expired. Also, after it's bankruptcy SNK never actually completely recovered, so if you see their recent games, they run in dated engines and they lack in content and quality (see KoF12).

I f*ing Love KoF and I dare to say that I love it more than Street Fighter. But there is no Way for THIS Snk to reach Capcoms current level.

SNK was saved by the company Playmore if I'm not mistaken which was sometime between 2001-2003 (not too sure on the specifics). Snk were not doing very well at all and their last console, the Neo-Geo, was a pretty big failure. The console although somewhat cheap, another stick costed quite a bit and the games were pretty expensive (nowadays, they go for around £100 depending on what it is).

I wouldn't call the console cheap. It was around 2 to 3 times the price of the other consoles released at the time.

£100 per game? That'd kill your back account if you were a big fan of SNK. D:

SNK would have to beg to Capcom to include their properties in another VS game. After KOFXII I would not be surprised if the company was in trouble. It was terribly disappointing.

While KoF12 was good to play a with a friend a simple match in the same room, it suffered in all the other aspects. The online was Lagy, the replays didn't have names, there was barely any options for more matches, the character roster and the number of levels was small and the game was sold in full price. Blazblue had less characters than KoF12 and yet it was much more enjoyable thanks to a big story mode, a good online mode, and a variety in each character.

They need an expansion to fix all of KoF12 problems...
How about "Super King of Fighters 12 ultra turbo upper: Champions edition" Perhaps then the game will make up for the 60 euros we've spend.
