View Full Version : I got it! Stereoscopic monitor!
 <== This is me while I play.
Today my new iZ3D (http://www.iz3d.com) monitor arrived (along a overpriced gift from customs... but this is another story).
I spent months waiting to have enough money for it, trying anaglyph mode to watch performances and effect.
Now i finally get full-color, high-quality stereoscopic vision! :D
I played again Devil May Cry 4... that game seems to be developed avoiding 3D... every scene that could put something out from screen, like Berial's sword, changes direction... In example, Berial puts its sword towards Nero, but the camera zooms in cutting the sword out of the screen...
The best scenes are those with combat. :D
Woopdie doo! lol I rather buy a 12 Ghz Comp.... hehehe lol
Ugh. I hate 3D. It never works for me...
Do you have only one eye working?
Or are you one of those who get headache?
The only thing i saw in 3D was Avatar 3D and i absolutely loved it, it was stunning, But the problem is, avatar 3D is the only true 3D movie, its made for 3D. Thats means anything else excluding avatar is worse, its not worth 3D...yet.
I wouldnt buy a new technology at launch. You never know if it will be succesful, if its worth the money(reviewers come in handy) and most importantly, there will be many other models of 3D monitors in a short period of time released, better and maybe cheaper. Theoreticaly, the monitor you have could be the worst but the first 3D monitor. Also, if you say the cutscenes in devil may cry 4 in 3D were meh and devil may cry 4 is listed as one of the best 3D games for the monitor, is that a good sign?
No, I was talking about how scenes are... Berial's sword instead of pop-up of the screen it's cut away from the screen, it has nothing to do with 3D, it's the same in 2D mode. It's just not valorized. When Nero rises Yamato, then he puts the sword toward you. :D
The problems are those cut scenes with the camera very close to face, then the picture doubles, so I change profile (Every game have 3 quick profiles that can be swapped on the fly) for the cut scenes. But the game it's totally awesome, in Legendary Dark Knight even the most intense fights (like last scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Tza7x-pKhs ) are much better, you can easily distinguish each enemy...
If this effect is the same for Bayonetta, I'm ready to reevaluate it. Only in 3D, since the worst problem is on screen mess.
Avatar, I've only tried the demo. I'm going to consider the game once I saw the movie (in Italy is in theater from yesterday). That game is awesome in 3D (game play is like a Lost Planet clone) the effect is not different from Devil May Cry 4, it's better since it is native so they used some tricks that Capcom couldn't use for DMC4. In settings menu there are two options that you can use to set size of your monitor and your distance from it. It calculates the right setting for you.

My right eyes alot weaker, so everything ends up a reddish colour.
