View Full Version : Playing Dark Void PC at CES... In 3D!!!
Nonplussed by the PS3's Gran Turismo in 3D (http://kotaku.com/5444025/playing-gran-turismo-5-at-ces-in-3d) and sort of blown away by Super Stardust HD 3D (http://kotaku.com/5444020/playing-super-stardust-hd-at-ces-in-3d), I was split on 3D gaming when it came time to check out Capcom's upcoming Dark Void (http://kotaku.com/tag/darkvoid/). Where Gran Turismo's 3D seemed to add very little to the experience, giving you a slight sense of depth but little more while driving, and Super Stardust HD blew me away with its attention to 3D detail, Dark Void was somewhere in the middle..........................

I went to see Avatar 3D, and I could only imagine what would happen if it was Modern Warfare or something. 3D gaming is the next step for the game industry for sure :bouncy:
3 hours of 3D and I didn't feel any headache nor sickness :horray:
that would be good but its in like 8 days and i dont think they could change all that in that time... oh and also u wouldnt feel sick after a few 3d things cos ur head and eyes will get used to the 3d glasses

the Ps3 can turn anything into 3D, correct? so perhaps you'll get your chance to play MW 3D sooner than you think ;)

Playing in 3D could be a very awesome experience for certain games; not sure if all games will be great to play in 3D though.
Watching Avatar in 3D was one of the most amazing experiences in my life. Breathtaking.
The jungle on Pandora at night time reminded me of Macalania Woods in Final Fantasy X. Imagine a remake of Final Fantasy X with those visuals and in 3D? Such thoughts make me cry that it will take years for something of that sort to materialise.

Not sure what exactly is the technology necessary for 3D, but I don't think we'll have it in this console generation... Maybe with PS4 or xbox 720 :chin:
