And they really wanna make a Real remake of 2. I mean real, like they did with part 1 on cube, they wanna do it with 2 on Wii. But they dont have the time atm cause they r workin on 5.

Capcom have, time and time again, denied any possibility of a RE2 remake...so the idea that they really want to remake 2 is mildly absurd.
None i hope...............The only games that is keeping nintendo in the loop are the RE games.

for the ones who cant read german:
the article says (btw. from september) that there is going to be a RE Wiimake from the first one, in RE4 style, but the old story. they take the GC mansion and combine it with RE4 gameplay!
but, IMO i hope it wont, it is said to be that its only going to be released in japan...

Rumours of re-makes of the 2nd and 3rd games have been around since RE re-make was announced. The original belief was that all 3 games were to be re-made bit we learned years ago that wasnt to be (Must be about 7 years now, geez).

i learned that here and there the developers and partners seem to reconcider things recently. what do you think? is there gonna be a slightly chance that there might be actually some useful remakes? or will it keep just roumors?
Its going to stay with rumors, I think.
in order to develop that game it will cost a lot of money and time.
And I think they rather put time in other games,
than only on the playstation 3 and xbox 360.
They can make more profit of those 2 consoles with that kind of game.
I must say Im kinda sick of these remakes - RE1 has definetly been one the most updated, remade, re-remade games ever - and its 12 years old!
While Id like to see a remake of RE2 (with RE4 aiming system but old fashion thrills), I think this entire remake trend (both in games and movies) is just the quintessential brainless, effortless money-squeezing scheme. I know games are just products to be sold, but jeez, give us something new! We pay for them after all!

And theyre, for the most part, Japan exclusive...so they have no effect on you whatsoever.
Also, RE2 has seen more ports than any of the other games in the series.

RE2 , RE2 on Dreamcast, RE2 on Cube, RE2 on PC, RE2 on PSN ( Japan ).
RE 1 has the most ports / remakes ^^

Either way though, RE2 was the most widely ported version of the game before Capcom started with its We must port every GC game to the Wii phase.
Oh, and the vast majority of RE2 versions are almost identical to the original version, whilst RE1 also relies heavily on the REmake, etc.

I dont think RE relies on the remake that much, i like the DC more than the remake. But RE2 is the best one, i hope they ll remake it, without burning zombies u killed before. Just a remake of the graphics is what id like to see, without changing story, adding stuff etc.

A re-make for just graphics seems kind of pointless to me. If they add stuff that tends to make the re-makes a bit more interesting, but if they just want to test graphics then they might aswell keep making new state of the art games.

I also said updated - intending to point at all the ports, dual shock, mobile versions etc.
Plus, RE1 was also originally supposed to be ported on the Game Boy Color - it was scrapped even though I remember seeing snapshots on magazines back in 2000 or something - so probably it is the one with the most versions (even though, by keeping in mind RE 1.5, probably RE1 and 2 are still even...).
Yeah, youre right: they dont affect me. Yet, as childish as it may sound, when I read the news on RE, Id prefer to read about new games rather than a port.

They arent re-makes (Incl. RE1), they are ports of the currently existing GameCube versions of the games mentioned. So the graphics wouldnt really be improved anyways and there is no online play or co-operative play in either of the titles anyway.
well there just rumours right now and theres rumours saying that ps3 will be having RE2 remake......
RE2 is a classic its cpcm best ever RE game and needs respectful machine to play on with awesome grafhics.

I disagree here, so you can have your resi 2 on the PS3. Just as long as Nintendo gets Code Veronica (X). One of the only Resis with good voice acting and the best story (inc. characters).

This topic has fallen into disrepair...people are talking about things that they seem to know nothing about, and then asking questions that seem to be aimed at nothing in particular.
Resident Evil REmake and Resident Evil Zero were ported to the Wii, but they were Japan only. They were ports, not remakes...they were the GameCube versions just ported over to the Wii. Nothing was enhanced.
I learnt recently that Capcom have said they are interested in remaking Resident Evil 2, but they have not given any other information...so there is nothing about which console it would be on, etc, etc.
There were also rumours that Capcom were interested in doing an Umbrella Chronicles 2, but nothing has since been said on the subject.
Maybe all of this helps now?
No hard facts as of now unfortunately. I already have REmake and RE2 in GC versions, so Ive not much interest in those, but a PAL release of Wii RE0 would still be welcome for me personally. Im already prepared to play the whole series in GC versions though, so Im not caring too much. RE5 on the other hand...
