As promised, were organising a meet up in London in the first 2 weeks in December. Which day would be best for you?
Whats gonna happen at the meet?
I have almost the last half of December off, but apart from weekends I cant do the first two weeks. sounds interesting though.
Is it all UK hunters, or just people from Capcom Europe?
And (seperate topic) how come Im new now? Ive been a member here for about 2 years.
Hi Soop, the point of these meetings is to share lots of multiplayer fun and making new MH friends. The events are really open to anybody who wishes to join in :)
As for your account, there was a forum upgrade some months ago but unfortunately the agency who handled it didnt migrate the users to this forum.
Hmmm. Ill keep an eye out. If a lot of people I know go Ill consider it, but my skills will be super weak by now.
Ill come to any, name a date and Ill Appear as long as it aint the 14th cause thats Neo Empires Xmas party.

The days I am not free are 13th, 15th and 20th December. But other than that I am free to hunt some monsters down :d
Im not free on the 13th to 16th as Im travelling during that time. Hopefully Ill be free on the days after that.
Can we also use Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G? I havent touched my MHF2 data sine MHP2G came out (except during the MCM Expo :lol: )

for mhf2! i am always free :P but seriously umm like most weekends are awesome except sunday i have to hunt with my peeps and they have church and whatnot. soo yea saturdays aand yea thats about it apart from 1/2 term comming up but idk when waaaa >.<
im afriad im going to be very akward and say the only day im free is sunday, tho late on saturday is ok provided its not too far to travel
Im free nearly every weekend =( but sadly I wont be able to attend these unless theres gonna be spare PSPs to play on due to mine being stolen X_x All my data T0T

Hi guys,
Ok, we have a date! I think a fair few of us here at Capcom towers are going to the Neo Empire Christmas party so were going to kill two birds with one stone and have the gathering at the Christmas party. That way, if people need to take a Street Fighter break between missions they can. Not that anyones taking breaks till were all rocking FULL AKANTOR. Or, if youre a newcomer, FULL GIAPREY.
The date, as previously mentioned by Rayokarna, is Sunday 14th December.
The location is the Yates in Harrow, 269-271, Station Rd, Harrow, Middlesex, HA1 2TB.
Their event will start at 12pm but Team Capcom wont be there till 2pm.
Show your PSP and Monster Hunter save game on the door or youll get charged admission - nobody wants that :) Unless you intend to play fighting games as well, in which case you should definitely pay. For more information on which fighting games will be there please head to www.neoempire.com

Oh, I should add - we will be playing the European version of Monster Hunter Freedom 2. If you have any other version of Monster Hunter, you will not be able to play with us.

Ill be there if i can, with my friend who came with me to the London Expo. The date seems fine, just gotta look into directions and train times/expenses etc.
Even though we play through Kai itll still be cool to meet other hunters and show them how pro i am ;)
btw, to the Capcom staff who were there at the expo: I was the tall guy who took part in the last 2 hours and one of you gave me a MH bag from TGS and some cards, and me and my friend a t-shirt each ofcourse. I asked if youre a hardcore player like myself and showed you my playtime...which one of ya was it? :P
also, whatever goodies you can find, chuck em our way, ill take anything MH :D

you chose a venue on my day off at a location literally down my road, awesome.
Me, the other Rob and Nathan will be there.
I thought i would help you guys out with directions on how to get there, its quite simple as its in harrow town centre
As long as you are able to navigate yourself onto a Metropolitan line train to Harrow-on-the-Hill (North bound from Baker street platform 1 or 2 usually) you then exit the station right from the barriers, exit the station and enter the shopping centre directly in front of the station, this is the st. Annes shooping centre, walk through it straight to get to the centre of harrow, its then a right past shops like poundland and soccersports and then at the statue of the little girl skipping (she is known as katie for a little local knowledge) you turn left and go down past superdrug and the pub yates is on the left hand side opposite the church
very simple to find and near impossible to get lost (unless your unable to find your way to baker street in which case consult a travel site like transport for london)
Hope that helps, also if requested i can wait at harrow on the hill train station at 1:50pm if anybody desperatly needs help tho it should be uneccesary.

Its going to be epic. I still cant beat White Fatalis so any help with him is appreciated. I am, for those who were at the expo, the half chinese guy who was doing most of the talking for Capcom. I was the guy who was ecstatic about making my Akantor bow (finally!) Still no Akantor armour, though. Black Gravios is looooong.
Just so nobody is disappointed, I should warn you now that we wont have any goodies to give away. This is strictly a social gathering. MCM Expo benefited from being shortly after TGS, so I had plenty of things Id brought back. We will no doubt be producing some things for Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, so expect goodies nearer the release of that.
While Im here - Im working my way through the training at the moment and really struggled with the lance on daimyo hermitaur. In fact, Im really struggling with the lance (though I keep making them, obviously). Usually MHNoodles is my main source of 1337 tactics but he (they) doesnt seem to have anything on how to use the lance and searching lance tutorial Monster Hunter doesnt give me anything useful. Can anyone here link me to a good vid? I need that barrage piercing helm!
I cant give a good vid but i can give advice, lance is actually a really awesome weapon, its all about going for the weakspots and patience, making the right jabs, my personal favourite training with the lance is verse kirin, you can kill the beast super quick by simply jabbing his head with all your pokes. just practice with the lance (using the gunlance against akantor actually improved my lance skill even tho they are different...) and heck if your still stuck on the day just get one of us to do it, share the pain.
the only hard training with the lance is rajang, and thats well... the less said the better...
anyway, dont worry about white fatalis, i still need that armour too so thats the main beast im looking to kill on sunday
p.s. its kinda bad for your mh street cred to announce your stuck on daimyo hermitaur anything lol

gonna blow up some white fatas since im used to them now - been clusting and DSing them for a while, made full BM set.
ill basically be helping anyone who needs to kill stuff to make stuff; the usual, as long as its fun (not meleeing annoying things like kirin/plesioth/gypceros/chameleos) and frowning at anyone with 2G.
shame about the goodies :( was kinda hoping for something to go on my shelf
ah well theres a whole new game to look forward to next year!

I know, unfortunately were really MH goodies-skint at the moment :( I have some bits and pieces but not enough for everybody. If you keep an eye on the General section youll see some cool stuff up for grabs very often.
Apologies I wont be able to make it to the event, unfortunately I have a family gathering tomorrow.

Exactly! What a part timer. Im going even though its my wedding anniversary tomorrow.
Alright, I packed my bag and my PSP is on charge. Im still Hunter Rank 2 but I can hold my own. See you guys there!

Il be the first to post then, we (Sinister + Kingsampson (playing as rachel for today)) were a bit late in arriving so poor leo (electric) had to play by himself for a while but then we tried to kill white fatalis with kelly and Blood and well needless to say it didnt go round all too well so we switched to crimson and had a bit more success. then went on to play with Squall and Gora.
The turn out was pretty good we had about 4 tables of 4 players each so 16 ppl by my estimate, and only 3 of which were capcom staff makes for a pretty successful turnout.
I ended up leaving at about 8 after yet another ash lao shan and not getting a ruby :cry:
I have some pictures of the event and as soon as i figure out how to upload them to this site (already tried once and failed) so any good sites or tips to uploading images would be appreciated.
If you want, send them to me (pm me for the email adress), Id gladly post them in the news on reign-of-the-rathalos.com.
yesterday was awesome should definatly do another day like that soonish. didnt do many missions with different people just the people i always do missions with :d. oo and thanks leo for that awesome gravios stratagy we wont be running around like crazy people now if we do it again :lol:

Easiest way its probably uploading them in Photobucket or a similar picture sharing site and post the IMG links (resizing the pic to 80% should give you a perfect fit as well ;))

hey it was a great day.
me and kelly had alot of fun.
and once we got home we had a quick bash at the ash lao lung. sad to sad i walk of with the ruby.
i now only need i part and little money to have a full azure ogre blade.
hehe o yeaa leo next time team up with me and a couple of my friends we kick the white fataliss but with you, love doing that mission lol, we have little code words for it to. ;) cya yall at the next event!!@@!! :d

MAN! You cant imagine how great that was to FINALLY get a kill on White Fatalis. Thanks for the help on that. It was about the fourth attempt that day. I reckon I know his movements now, and how to avoid his random lightening. I dont think Ill be doing enough damage to kill him on my own any time soon, though.
Thanks for coming, everyone. Even Rayokarna, who basically ignored us for Tatsunoko vs Capcom all day :p We definitely need to mix up the teams a bit next time, turning up just to play with your regular crew seems like a wasted opportunity. They will definitely have already seen your full Lao Shan armour so theres no gain there. And the rest of us definitely arent bitter that you have four regular players in your group.
More soon, then. Theres no easy Neo Empire event to piggy back in January so lets sort our own thing out. This time Ill try to keep it more central to make it easier on those coming from outside London. Keep an eye out for the proposed dates and locations and shout out now if theres any days that are particularly bad for you.
I smashed the Dual Rajang quest the next day but still no option to make Rajang armour. Grrr...
it took kingsampson (robert) 40 failed attempts, and then i did it for him in 3 for dual rajang, but yeah a january meet up sounds good but my days off are wild and unpredictable at the moment as they are shafting me a bit at work, tho i play the religeon card (its like the only card in my deck :() so i should always have sunday off.
as for the pictures il try to e-mail them to fresh as the problem i had was actually getting them to show up on the website, and if i can arrange it il try to take a picture of the full harrow hunters crew (all 7 of us, tho you have only met 3 (including me, rob, and nath who played smash all day cause his psp broke))
and hopefully we will have access to another psp next time so watch out white fatalis!

well kingsampson has come a long way since then, back then he only just got akantor armour and still hadnt really used it much, but il tell ya what if you beat rajang lance training then your better than me.

you could always try simply introducing your friends to the game, i know loads of ppl who didnt play when i started but are now avid hunters

Only prob is most of my friends are Nintedo Gamers most of the time, and they dont have a PSP. And they are under aged.
Mostly 9-11, and others who are age 12 are fans of footies so they only play football games(kinda obvious)
if they are nintendo fans then show em the monster hunter tri clip, they will be running to the stores for psps before too long

Hello every one!! was wondering if there will be another meet up anytime soon? couldnt make the last one as i was moving house. Only started playing about a week before the expo and now im hooked. Unfortunatly i only know 1 other guy thats layin this game and hes still a bit of a noob. Managed to get to HR5 on my own. Cant stop till i become a real pro!!! I LOVE THIS GAME:!: :!: :!:

dont worry i asked leo ages ago, he said he might be planning something for the release of Unite.
Guys, just had a word with Leo and hes (very) up for another MH session. We can do it in some bar somewhere in London or in our offices in Hammersmith, can you give us an idea of which one youd prefer and when?
London offices would be cool and id imagine getting permission to hold a mh event in another location would be expensieve unless we hang out with neo empire again, then again anywhere in london is pretty accessable for me provided its near any train station so it doesnt affect me too much
as for what day well the harrow hunters are all in a transitional period right now, rob and nath had job interviews last week so its unknown what day they will be free, i had my big police interview today so although i know my schedual up till march when i find out if im a police officer or not =/
so yea, harrow hunters pretty busy unfortuantly, we will definatly try our best to make any events tho so just dont plan em around what days we have free as we may not make it at all.
We can do evening as well, Sinister, can you check if thatd be good with the Harrow Hunters?

Trying to check anything with them is difficult, espcially the brothers as they barely made the london event even tho it was literally down the road from us :d
basically il organise everything on their behalf, i always do (and yet still they reject the name Sinister Society :mad: )
anyways evernings *should* be good for us as no one except for myself is a morning person tho like i said no way i can check that just going from past expirance, so basically the more notice you can give us the more notice we can give you on whether or not we can attend.
Completely flexible with dates, Sinister ;) You name it, well try and make it happen.
well thats awfully kind of you guys, but we seriously have no clue when we will be doing what right now, i can tell you a time im free next week but thats as much information that you will get right now :dead:

What's up, homeys!
We have been working a bit too hard recently making SFIV and RE5 happen, so Monster Hunter hook-ups have been difficult to think about. We're not done yet, though, there's definitely still some more to come, especially as we get closer to MHFU.
If anyone's near Harrow on Sunday a couple of us will be at the Street Fighter IV ranking battle with PSPs in tow, but I think realistically we'll be focussed on LAYING MANS DOWN in the tournament.
The main thing is, we've not forgotten about Monster Hunter! Michael's on almost 1000 hours of playtime now. I'm lagging with about 500. For shame.
Near Harrow you say... who do I know that lives in Harrow?
oh yea the Harrow Hunters! Awesome, erm im a bit mediocre at street fighter but Kingsampson is good, can he just turn up to enter this ranking thing?

I blame the keyboard and the fact that the u key is next to the i key.I will get Cammy ready for battle with her cannon spike just in case. Will edit it it anyway so I wont face the rage of more Monster Hunter fans. :p

There's a thread in the Fighting games folder with a link to the official ranking battles site, but yeah, you can just turn up and register. First come first served, though! So turn up early. Yates in Harrow, so the same place we had the last Monster Hunter gathering.
wow neoempire really likes yates, good thing too! so whats the start time? they say entries must be in by 7:45 is there nothing happning before then?

edit: found out its 23-24 may, looks like il only be able to attend sunday again unless my situation changes, oh well i expect il spend most of the time playing monster hunter but il run around from time to time to play all the new games like last time, hopefully unite will be out before this (i mean it was supposed to be spring, considering at the last expo we already had our imported monster hunter portable 2nd's and KS already had a certain beasts armour (name begins with U))
