My signature is having problems being displayed on the forums, all it shows is a link to the signature on Photobucket. I'm using but that doesn't do anything.
Images are disabled for members, only admins and moderators have signatures.
It was made this way to streamline the forum, however, its not really working, many people have asked for this feature to be put back in the forums, however, the admin is still undecided on the matter, since it can be easily abused (I've seen people using WALLPAPERS in the past, and that won't do.), most people are satisfied enough with their Gamertags and PSN names being displayed in their profiles.
I just hope Tenebra (the admin), does eventually come to a decision when her workload has cleared up, since I know alot of people can be trusted with the feature, but with new members dropping in all the time, there are bound to be a few silly ones with huge or multiple signatures.
I think it should be a per user system based on trust, those trusted to have a sig should get one, those planning on abusing it, don't, but that's just what I think.
Signatures for all please...I rly hope admins will finally bring it.
I can't tell what the forum software is (It looks like vBulletin) - But there are ways to restrict images/entire signature sizes via dimension parameters. If it's too large, the excess is cutoff, or the image is automatically changed to a mere link. But that's website administration-side.
As a less technical solution, you could just rely on members to report obnoxiously large signatures to moderators. I'm sure most people are capable of applying common sense, and anyone who doesn't can be spoken to on a case-by-case basis. Applying a blanket restriction to the entire forum works, but seems ultimately unneccesary.
