Although its cover was blown a little early (http://kotaku.com/5441984/bach-explains-to-be-announced-xbox-game-room), there's still new info coming out of the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas concerning Microsoft's Xbox Game Room (http://kotaku.com/tag/xboxgameroom/).......................

I'm liking the look of this. I don't think it'll be exactly like Home, as it's solely based on the games, and maybe talking while playing games.
I think it'll be quite popular, anyway.

I would ask "Is this going to be free?", but it's Microsoft so instead I'll ask "How much is it going to cost? And, how often is it going to cost?"

thats what Im wondering....I hope after burner is one of the games. Theres a sequel coming out so it could be there! Im guessing if you want to play a game youll have to pay and download it for the cabinet to appear otherwise it might just be trial versions

OH! What if you can play any arcade game but in a cabinet! Trials HD would be epic! though you don't really the cabinet to enjoy the games.

Are Capcom gonna put any of their classics in there? Megaman anyone? Street Fighter FTW?

It wouldn't take much to better Playstation's Home.

I have home on my ps3, and I don't actually think you can get rid of it, but I never touch it.

I tried it out, and just hated it. It was so so boring, but then maybe Sony are aiming towards a specific type of audience.......the type where people don't leave their houses, for fear of spending time with the public, and worrying about whether people would accept them or not.

I enjoy meeting new people, and going out to social gatherings whenever chances arise. That's me, but other people might prefer living the life of a recluse, where they're shut off from the world, and can live in their own special place.

This is the audience I think home was made for. It offers nothing to me.

Anyway, if Xbox have a 3d space which is full of arcade games, then I think that's something the older gamers can enjoy.

My personal favourite retro games are Asteroids and Block Breaker, so let's hope these will both be included. ;)

I personally think it'd be a given, but yea, hopefully Microsoft will actually do good with this little game room. For me, home on the PS3 is just a waste of space and time.

Most people know I prefer playstation, but I like some healthy competition, as it always motivates people to improve things, and without competition, the world would be a sad bland place.

I'll keep my eye on this, to see what they can do with it.

Well it's not really a answer to home since home does so much more and has a very broad set of features. This on the other hand is very focused on games.

While the initial 30 games ain't bad I think they'll fly right over some peoples heads and considering you can play half of these online for free I'm more excited about the other 1000 titles they have licenced. I'll probably get Lunar Lander, Road Fighter and Asteroids though.

I want to see how modern they go with these, I'd love to see some great old 2d shooters and scrolling beat'em up games. the original 1945 series was awesome and a version of cadillacs and dinosaurs would be great. Maybe some Neo Geo 2020 baseball and Wind Jammers.

Maybe down the line we'll get some 2d beat em ups or the original Virtua Fighter and Virtua Fighter 2 and with the price scheme we could do some authentic coin up matches.

I'm guessing this will a lot like Virtual Console on Wii. They've said new releases will be weekly so I'm hoping these don't get in the way of the weekly XBLA releases. Like most things announced this gen it's the possibilities and how they act on them that will see this being something worth keeping your eyes on.

Capcom, Neo Geo and Sega needs to be forefront and centre once they hit 8-16 bit with this games room
