This is what European PS2 owners got. It is a peace of crap for many reasons:
It does NOT include Street Fighter 3.
It had full price. (at least in Greece)
It is not Backwards compatible with the PS3.
It is useless since the superior Street Fighter 2 HD is out.
It crippled European Playstation Owners from Street Fighter 3, since no one will publish it as a stand alone game!

It's quite a rare game to come across. I've never seen it sold in any game shop ever. Try eBay. ;)

I wouldn't say it was that bad. It came with the Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie which is an absolutely brilliant film.
It also comes with all 5 versions of Street Fighter II, which is great if you never owned each of them on previous consoles and want to see how they differ from one another :D
It is useless since the superior Street Fighter 2 HD is out.Even though I own the "superior" SSFIIHDR, I still go back to my Mega Drive and pop in the Special Champion Edition because I honestly find the classic, pixellated versions very enjoyable (and because Mega Drive controller > Xbox controller).

However, I do agree we could've had it better and got the bundled edition that the Xbox got, or even SFIII as a separate release. But hey, if you're really an SFIII fan, Dreamcasts and original Xboxs are relatively cheap and easy to obtain and the Anniversary bundle on the Xbox is backwards compatible on the Xbox 360! :D

I'm not that hardcore to buy two dead consoles just for SF3. And I already have a PS3. X360 didn't gave enough reasons yet to give Micro$oft my money. $ony already got most of them...:bash:
My point was that if SF3 were to come to a console as DLC, It should come on the PSN first.
Just so that all of you know, my 'Street Fighter Anniversary Collection' works just fine on my Xbox360, so that's backwards compatible and contains Street Fighter 3: Third Strike.
And my copy of Hyper Street Fighter 2 worked on my 60GB PS3 too.

Yep SF3 already works great on the 360 (online fighting works pretty good too). :)
If they released this on live I'd probably still pick it up though as I guess the online would be tweaked?
Well Microsoft have just delivered some bad news which will affect this game.

I'm pretty gutted about this as I also loved to play Star Wars Battlefront 2 online now-and-again on my 360 too.
Now I just hope Capcom can bring some good news in the future and maybe release SF3 on live.

Any idea if it means I won't be able to pick up any DLC for those old games? I never did get round to downloading all the extra levels 'n' stuff on to my 360, well, I guess it's time for a big session!

If your after DLC I'd probably pick anything up before the April deadline.
edit: according to people on the xbox site and major nelson's site they've already pulled the plug and you can't get any dlc anymore??
we def need sf3 on the psn and xbox live..
the collection isn't finished without...would love if capcom does the sf3 trilogy...plz capcom...
They should release SF3 on PSN along with some kind of HD remix of darkstalkers.
Once the do that, they should bundle them in a blue-ray along with HD Street fighter 2, Marvel VS Capcom 2, and maybe HD Puzzle Fighters, and call it "Capcom fighting Gems" or something...

Capcom's co-operation with my favorite Fighting game of all time is awesome! Let alone that SNK can barely stand financially, and they no longer have the power to make a good quality fighting game!

Personally...
I hate DLC and in general any digital product that you can't touch. I feel like buying air... Fortunately, like most DLC-only games in Europe, I'm expecting it to eventually come in BD format. I can imagine a capcom compilation with SF2HD, MvsC2, Puzzle Fighters 2, SF3, and something extra like Darkstalkers...

Isn't there an issue with slowdown during super jumps, making this unfeasible for tournaments? That was the case when the 360 first came out, though maybe that's been patched (ie the emulation software's been patched, not our game).
So, continue the campaign!

i heard it doesn't play very good on 360 either, either way with the xbox servers going down, getting 3s on 360 and psn some time soon would be really nice and while your at it capcom alpha 2 & 3 too pls
