View Full Version : Why Capcom?!
The American PS3 PSN users have Street Fighter Alpha 2, but the European PSN store doesn't has it. Why so? We, the European users are waiting for that game, too.
Give us Capcom Classics Collection Vol.1 and Vol.2 please! Amazing games!
It'd sell A LOT!!!

Needless to say, this is a topic that comes up regularly.
I'm certain, as with every other game that is available in Japan & America, Capcom are working their hardest to get them to us Europeans in as many ways as financially feasible to them.
It will take a lot of petience, as with some of these games it can take years to happen...but I'm pretty sure that it is being worked on.
Oh, and I'm moving this thread to the all Capcom Games section.
i really expected it to say, 'WHY CAPCOM?! WHY NINTENDO WII!?'
:p
Mental image of a man on his knees in the rain yelling this to the sky...
But in a serious response, there are multiple issues regarding licenses and agreements made with publishers, since different countries and their respective departments usually have different companies involved, it cannot be resolved easily.
America has the highest demand due to its high population, thats why they get the good stuff so quickly, because any great expense to gain the right to make it in to a downloadable format would be heavily outweighed by the profit made.
This is not to say it won't be released, it will probably just take longer depending on the demand for it.
The American psn store has resi 1-3 and dino crisis too, its a shame as i'd really like to be able to play those games on my psp. Im not soo bothered about alpha 2 (even though its the best alpha game) as fighting games just dont work on psp and i'd rarther just break out the ps2 than pay for games i already own and can play on a quiter more enviromentally friendly (save the trees man! :P) console just for trophies. Online play does interest me however, though i wonder how good the online system is; whether its laggy or not, does it have lobbys?
Either way i do really hate it when america gets stuff and we dont though i suppose it cant be helped, company is a business after all and other publishers seem to do the same. It would be nice though to know why we dont get certain stuff, in this case i wonder whether it has something to do with virgin or whether its just a business decision.
