Hello. I do not know if devs read this or if any sugestion here gets to the developers but here goes.

I have bought the game on pc and I uterly love it. I am curently a g1 player, playing it competitevely with vega and sakura.

The only beef I have with this game is zangief. Personally I can easily do any moves in the game on a keyboard including vega's and guile's ultras but I am unable to do the 180c required to do zangiefs throws and ultras.

The problem that arises is that in ssf4 the new T.Hawk is also going to have similar moves to gief.

I would like to ask the devs if they can make an alternative move for the keyboard users (one that can be enabled or disabled from the option screen) to be able to perform these moves any other way. (either make them D F D F and a punch/kick like most of the ultras in the game. Or an entirely new one like BFBBF or w/e)

While I am aware that I can fix my problem by buying a gamepad or a joystick, I would like to point out that the default controler for a PC is the keyboard and buying a gamepad would only be usefull for sf4 and no other game thus making it a huge investment just to play 1-2 chars.
I mean would you buy a keyboard for your xbox360 just for 1 game?

Anyway I will buy the game regardless if they implement this or not. How ever I don't think it will be much work to just change 2 characters move so they dont have 180c imputs and alot of the pc fans would love it :)

The thingy is, Zangief's 360 grab actually only needs a 270 degrees motion.

Dunno if that makes things any easier, but that means you should be able to do it if you make a quick roll over the buttons, and press the attack as soon as you're hitting the up-forward.

That being said, I won't ever play it on my crappy pc, so I have no clue how they'll end up reacting.

I guess I'd end up putting my motions on the Num-pad, so I have quick acces to all my directions.

why not just buy a stick or pad for the pc? the keyboard obviously isnt meant to be the best controller for it

Also this isn't complaining that it's hard to play on a keyboard or anything. I can play it just fine. There are just the moves from gief and thawk that are IMPOSSIBLE to perform on a keyboard.
Becaue of that alot of players from the pc would apreciate it alot if the game would have an in built option to allow you to change just the moves that require a full circle into anything else (or just make them half a circle).
Afterall it's not like it requires some skill to do a circle on a pad or stick.

Dont be stupid, doing a 360 motion while positioning for it to hit at high level play is very difficult. Your also making some general sweeping comments about how many pc users use a stick. Giving the pc version this shortcut would severely unbalance the game.

capcom have tried shortcut comands before. they did it in Capcom vs SNK 2 EO on game cube (which needed them because the GC pad was so un suited to the kind of input required to play beat em ups) and Alpha 3 on the advance. the advance version was way to easy with the shortcut comands on. keyboards are not designed for fireball motion input but it is doable, it just takes a little practice to learn the motion.
