I understand that some of you might be experiencing issues with your copy of MotoGP. Unfortunately we are unable to provide technical support on the forums but we have a team who will do their very best to help you out. Its a multilingual team as well, they might be able to support you in your mother tongue.

thats why i didnt bother to email them, whats the point in e-mailing them when all the problems are explaned several times on their own (capcom) forum !!
if they dont reply here (i mean that only takes a few minutes) they dont care about all those e-mails

anyway back to MotoGP 07 for me..... i am kinda tired watching at this *stuttering/lagging/slideshow* game

When I said i emailed them, I also did a full system information including the crash log + dxdiag dump to show if there were any conflicts the idea being not to mention the service I have had from other games is that they either email you back telling you that its a known problem and a patch is on the way or they email you back telling you that they are looking in to the problem.
just because your crash appears like everyone elses doesnt mean its the same crash the information I just told you about means they can actually confirm whats causing it.
They should be responding to everyone even if its just an auto email.

Just one thing Tenebra as you seem to be the only mod for all our questions. Is Capcom planning to patch this game and will you post it as as soon as you know or dont you have any informations at this time ?
As you can see there are a lot of problems going around and im not sure if anyone will buy upcoming games if the support is that bad ( at this time ). I see postings all the time with problems..regarding to other games there are patches just after release..and here..nothing happens
I hope Capcom will patch this game ..shouldnt be to hard if it is your job to do so..ao are they all busy now with new games and forget about moto gp ..already planning into motogp 09 and hope to make it better ?
The mods are volunteers, Im Capcoms own senior community manager for Europe, thats why I can help a bit more than the mods :)
I need you guys with problems to get in touch with our tech support guys. They will evaluate if there is a general issue or its something relating to specific rigs/configurations (out of date drivers, system below min specs etc). If the issues are consistent and we have a clear idea of what its causing it we may be able to escalate it to a patch request.
It is important, though, that you contact our tech support as they are the specialised peeps; I do have some tech knowledge but a) Im not a specialist, I might miss something b) I wouldnt have enough time to look into every single query properly. I will, though, follow this through and keep you informed.
so i was googling today and found a patch that capcom released for the US version only, when i downloaded it i found out that it uninstalled my game ...
i had to install it again and guess what the same crash to desktop problem appers again the game became slow and its awful.
any ideas?
maybe an email address so i can write something and report these bugs ?

I would just like to say Tenebra that I think your doing a really good job in the face of angry customers, its not easy being a middle man when something goes wrong but Ive appreciated your comments and you instance that we should contact the relevent channels to make our enquires Im sorry if Ive vented any negative issues via the forums but this seemed the only place that would listen.
I work in games, tools programmer so I know in my heart and head that the poeple at capcom and the developers are going to be pulling their hair our trying to get a patch tested passed by capcom and on the market but I also think that capcom need to invest more in dealing with bugs esp on pc, consoles are easier because sony ms and nintendo wont let something go to market which blatently doesnt work. pcs are hard because there is nothing like that on the pc.
I appreciate your words and effort and hope to be kept involved.

ok then senior community manager..fine all i want to know if capcom is planning a patch to make this game better , and im not asking for technichal problems , because everything runs fine and i love the work the guys at capcom,milestone,etc made so far..i was asking for a patch for online mode at PC.e.g. a chat function..and a championship mode with points for each race. that shouldnt be too hard or ? and should also be possible for you to answer

i found out how to send the dxdiag file and send it to capcom, i am waiting for an answer i think that i provided them alot of information they need to understand whats the problem of crashing to desktop when playing regulary and not online :)

there is a bug all over the pcs versions thats for sure and why they deny this i donno.

Do you have any other media players installed on your PC? for example VLC? If your movie filetypes are associated with a different player than WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER this will result in the scenario you just mentioned. The game tries to play the intro videos but fails hence the CTD.

I have the same problem, in the language menu I press ok and then appears the licenses, and then a launcher.exe issue.
I tried the mofo64 solution but I have the same message.
My disk drive is F:/, that can be a problem? because i have installed the game with a patch for no default directory game. Doesnt work, I dont even know if is a official patch.

Well i see there is still no word from Capcom/Milestone about a patch :s
As i said in other post i did give up on this one and went back to MotoGP 07 (THQ)... but i was wondering why THQ version is running much smoother, and it still has way better graphics !!
so a little testing (just done)
i did run both games in windowed mode, and had task manager running in background,
res 1650 x 1050
i only looked at CPU usage , which i think is causing the stuttering/low FPS
results
MotoGP 07 (THQ) average around 65 %
MotoGP 08 (capcom/milestone) average around 98% :s :s :s
NOTE* THQ game was maxxed out AA 8x
Capcom game, i only had High res textures swithed on and AA 4x (if i swith Dynamic shadows etc on game crashes pretty often)
My specs:
Dual core 2.85 GHZ, 4 gig of ddr 2 ram, and ATI radeon HD 4870 !!!!
My conclusion ...... very bad coding !!!!!

My game will not play. I click ok from the options menu and the screen flickers a couple of times and kicks me back to desktop. I can ONLY get the game to load when I click Disable Sound in the options menu. Not fun playing without sound though ANY IDEAS??????????? When is a sound fix patch coming out?

Hey MOFO64, that has got to be the problem, thanks. If you read my previous post that I just posted, if I disable the sound, the game works. My question is, where do I go to find out if WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER is my default player? Im not sure how to check to see what player is used for my movie filetypes.

another drop down window appears select windows media player
and check the box marked always use selected playerfor this type of file

I only have one disk drive, is called f:/ obviusly ive installed my game there, I dont have c:/, when I open lanucher.exe and press ok, I take a error message, BUT, if I put a pen drive on my PC hes called c:/ and then, the game works.
I dont know if somebody is gonna understand that, because I have a really bad english, but, this is the way how Ive solved my problem. (I put a pen drive everytime I want to play)
according to the mail from the technical support i understood that in my case i had to do 2 main things to solve the problem you have just noticed,
1 ) try not to load too much process and applications when the pc is boot.
2) any graphic cards that came with a fan that you can control it please change it to the maximum so the fan will work on 100%
about the sound problems i have no idea but its allright in my pc and i am using a cheap one,

Leadtek nvidia 9600 gso extreme graphic card
400 watt of power supply ezcool :) not generic offcourse but doing a great job indeed.
6 fans :) that i put together any where i could stick them to the case.

Why dont you change your first HDs drive letter back to c: ? You can do this through disk management. If you want to do this I can find instructions on this.

Aernouts: I agree, very unfinished coding of this very promising game. All in all from the customer point of view it sounds poor.
interesting point made with the realtek HD as this is what i have and can only play with the sound disabled...
This works also, go to were your launcher.exe is, right click, go to properties, and make sure run this programe, in windows 2000, is selected

I donno, Ive old simple nVidia sound codec (onboard nForce 2 from Abit) and have no problems.
well i installed the game again and had the same problem with crash to desktop :(
But one of the members here suggested to adjust the launcer to run in the 2000 version of windows aqnd guess what ?
