For the last 6 months or so, I've been quite busy working on the Wii version of Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest. Now we're currently wrapping things up here in the studio, as well as slowly handing things over to the marketing department. -I just wanted to post the updated website as there's a bunch of new content [and more to come!] for whoever's interested:

Hope you like it!

EDIT: I just realized some of the OST is available on the site. It's pretty epic and worth checking out, if you appreciate a good score!

When this was announced ages ago, I wasn't too happy at the art style. I didn't like that they'd made LotR look so blockish and kiddy.

It still looks the same, but the game footage makes it seem like Zelda or Fable, which pleases me.

If it is like either of those games, and is as epic as, say, the films were...then I think I'll be happy.

How long is the game? How does it play?

Joystiq posted some new trailers to remind that the game still exists yesterday, and I'll probably buy it but end up not playing it much.

Anything to support you, Clay! <3

Cheers guys!

The game is obviously aimed at a universal audience, in many ways similar to how Lego Star Wars works. I think if you're comfortable with how Zelda and Kingdom Hearts looks, you shouldn't have any problems playing this at all.

I also think it's worth mentioning that we have some really dedicated LotR enthusiasts in the studio, in which comes across a lot in the game narrative. So even though it's something a younger audience can enjoy from a pure gameplay mechanic, the story is by no means dumbed down and it's definitively worth playing if you're into the whole LotR saga.

I think I'd probably spent about 10 hours going through the levels, but I really wouldn't hold me to that. It's been a while since I've played the game from beginning to end.

Very shortly explained, the combat system is kind of Zelda meets Dynasty Warriors, only where a second player can easily drop in and out of the game at any time. Throughout the game you explore and solve puzzles as Aragorn in some of the key locations from the books and the films, but you will also be able to go back to The Shire, which breaks into an open world environment [like a lightweight Harvest Moon type of game, where you interact with people and do quirky sidequests].

The game actually sounds really good. I like the drop-in/drop-out co-op, and I like the fact that it takes from both the books & the films.

I'll certainly look out for the game, though I'm not certain it'll be a Day 1 purchase.

I love the throwback to Lego Star Wars, since I FINALLY was able to pick up " the complete saga" game for a tenner, and loving it. 8D
