View Full Version : stupidly cheap PSP games
I've just been playing Gangs of London for the PSP, and it's pretty good fun. I picked it up last week from a Game in Borders (which is closing down, as you may know). Cost me £3! :D
I also picked up 2 other games for xmas presents (which I already have/have had in the past); Burnout Dominator and God of War Chains of Olympus, both for £3 each! and 2 UMD films for 49p each!!!
So yeah, if you're looking for some great presents, there are some bargains to be had.
I also picked up Farcry (PS3) for a friend for £4 and some graphic novels for 40% off for me :)

You have a Game in your Borders?? :o
I bought a load of OS Explorer Maps 50% off from our local one but they don't have games there :(

What a rubbish Game...
I don't know if it's limited to the ones in Borders. I could get you Fifa 08 for 99p if you want.
*edit* actually, I might get it - it only got 5 scores under 75 on Metacritic! That's really not bad for 99p...

I don't like football, save your 99p... I'd spend it on sherbert filled flying saucers instead.

Where is this shop with magical prices?
It was Game, in-store (they were all preowned apart from the films, but even new Gangs of London was only £5-6)
Pro-tip: Bite a small piece out of a flying saucer, and then proceed to make a mothership by filling it with more sherbert.

Probably because your Dad never bought an entire tub from Makro and left you alone with them and nothing good on TV
Not entirely related but I released you can Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition for cheaper than how much the DLC would all cost. Also you can buy Fable 2 GOTY Edition for under 13 quid which is also cheaper than the DLC.
agghh! Fallout 3 would have made an awesome present!
Geeze! http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B0017Y0332/ref=sr_1_olp_5?ie=UTF8&s=gateway&qid=1260805143&sr=8-5
£14 preowned! (including P&P)
Still, xmas is all about giving, and I'm gonna win.
I went to Borders TWICE last week and both times they wouldn't let me in because it was 7pm and that's when they closed =[ No cheap Graphic Novels for Unlucky-bod!

Gah! Hurry up though, they were running low in mine! I got 3 Civil War ones, but they had no Daredevil left.
If they have them (and they probably did at one point) I reccomend Guardial Devil (Daredevil, by Kevin Smith, and the two Frank Miller Batman Dark Night ones.
Best comics I've ever read. Blows the Watchmen clear away.
DC? Are you Kidding!? Marvel FTW. Didn't think much to The Watchmen, there was far too much filler in that, it could have easily been 1/3 of the size if they'd have taken all of the rubbish out (Tales of the Black Freighter? BLEH). I think that we need a seperate thread about comics, think I'll start one in an hour or so...
I won't be here then, so let me add, Daredevil and Civil War are Marvel, and usually Marvel >> DC. But trust me on those Batman ones.
And the tales of the black frieghter is actually quite clever in a way, and part of the acclaim. The comic-in-a-comic, supposedly a reproduction (it wasn't) mirrors the storyline of the main book, and also (I think) Dantés Inferno.
It's a little bit over-intellectual grandstanding IMO, but it hadn't been done before. I can think of better ways of doing it though.

fable 2 is not worth 13 quid. I bought it when it came out and the game sucks sooo bad. Online is god awful and the story is about as interesting as watching paint dry

And advance paint drying simulator is going for £5 now.
