Basically Im really confused at Milestone. I know the programmers may not be the same but from the developers who created the frist 3 SBK games for the PC I expected more. Whats worse is I dont understand why they take basic features (like specific views, options, etc....) out of the games. They did this for SBK 07 & MotoGP 07. And now the same thing for SBK08 & MotoGP 08. Its strange because the first thing Milestone should have done was had these current developers spend time with the first 3 SBK from 1999 - 2001. Those along with GP500 are the best bike games ever created.
Whats worse is its as if Milestone is working in a vaccum. Things that have long become basic standards in racing games (or games in general) are left out of Milestones most recent games. It just doesnt make any sense. They are making games that wont appeal to veteran bike gamers yet nothing about them would seem to attract a newbie to bike racers or someone looking for an arcade experience.
Their AI has got to be the worst ever created. Even their graphics seems a step or two behind everyone else. I never cared for the THQ MotoGP games because they never felt right. Now Im just about fed up with Milestone. I wish the old Melbourne House developers would get back into bike games, or maybe Codemasters would give it a shot. Glad I still have my original copies of GP500, SBK, SBK 2000 & SBK2001
