Sayin that many online shops dated it on 14th december, Okaysoft.de, Heimspiel-Games.de, gameware.at and some others ( they didnt say any more site names just " other sites " ).
So, do you think its true ? I dunno..... all i see on all those sites is the german version, but UK version still dated in january. Weird rumor, but maybe true - in 3 days we will know ( or when Sega says somethin ). :D
Monday thats unusual.
Normally Fridays or some times a Tuesday

Ok so, i bought it today :p Spike n Chaosriotzero already saw me playin it, its so awesome. COMPLETELY beats Devil May Cry. Im not that far yet, takin my time, lookin into all corners etc. Go and buy it on monday i hope ur shops has got it, it cost me 70€ here.
If you like DMC ull like Bayonetta, if ur unsure play the demo, best game in december:D
So much appreciation for that abomination in this forum is dreadful...
Especially when it's compared with Devil May Cry...

Haha ye on capcom forum sayin a series of em got beaten :D But tbh, imo its true and the DMC creator made it so is must be his target from the beginning. I like DMC but i said so often in other topics DMC doesnt improve, Bayonetta is a fresh and innovatie game. Lets see how DMC 5 will be like ^^

Personaly, i like devil may cry more.
Bayonetta is just way, way too japanese for me.
Sure, devil may cry features a stereotypical blond cool guy with superhuman powers but bayonetta with her moves when she summons a giant boot to kick her oponents, she´s almost naked when doing combos, thats just weird for me.
Also i like the story of devil may cry 4 more than bayonetta.
I played the demo, i quite enjoyed it, reminds me of devil may cry a lot but its not a buy for me. Its just too over the top.
Silent, its not innovative in any way, are the graphics WAY better? No. Is the story better? No. Are the controls better? They are the same. Is it groundbreaking in any way? Certainly not. Its just DMC5 featuring as a main character a woman.

Awwwww I want to play with lady Bayonetta too but instead I will be slaying Java and 3D graphics in the programming dungeon! :flamesangry:
If play.com tries to take my money on monday I won't have none until the 16th. :flamesangry:
For some reason i just can't seem to get into this game like i could the DMC series. I know that it is only the demo i have played, but it doesn't seem to have the same appeal to me like the DMC games did when they were first released.
I will wait until the full game comes out, hopefully a friend will buy it and i can play it around his, and then decide whether to buy it or not.

Lets see how DMC 5 will be like ^^Devil May Cry ALWAYS improved. Even 1=>2 improved, because DMC2 introduced the base of DMC3 styles.
DMC4 improved only in Dante's part of game, Nero was a different gameplay but limited.
After I played the demo, I'm very happy that he gone. If this is a look of how Devil May Cry 5 could have been, I'm very, very happy.
There is too much mess in the picture, you can't distinguish the elements of the game, the combos are all the same. Composed by 4/5 parts put together in various way, rarely with an unusual move in the end.
There is no difference between the two weapons, and enemies' weapons only gives you a single special move.
What you have to do is to press randomly Y, B and continously RT to dodge... You don't even need to jump or choose the direction to avoid attacks.

the games not bad but Im probably not gonna get it until it goes cheap
oh and...
she´s almost naked when doing combos
WIN!
I'm gonna have to say that I prefer the demo of Bayonetta to DMC 1 and 2. Of course, the demo may include some of the best bits of Bayonetta...I think I'll wait until I've played the full game before properly judging.

You naughty litlle boys talking about lady Bayonetta like that, although she does have a weird body suit, when that huge beast comes out for brunch.
I seen some bits on youtube and it gets even more crazy than what you see in the demo!

I found the German version for 54 € but I didn't buy it because I've read that the game still has framerate issues and long loading times on the PS3 (although an extra team was formed to solve this issues :(). Plus: the ugly USK-logo... So I am going to wait for the UK version.

I noticed that are made by purpose, the game stops when you hit or you are hit.

Bit dread that the game is being released far too early in Germany, but then again, I'm not in the financial position to just import it yet. I'ma wait until its UK release and pick it up then.
Don't quite get the hate for Bayonetta. Whether or not you like its style, to laugh off its combat prowess and depth is rather comical but whatevs. I'm not going down that road. If you like it, you like it; if you don't, you don't. Let's not troll though.

But even Sega and Platinum Games are aware of these problems! Still they didn't fix them !?
http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3177157
Nevertheless I am going to wait as I am sure this is going to get fixed (otherwise Sony would lose even more customers).

SEGA got handed the PS3 version as Platinum Games only worked on the 360 version. It appears that there wasn't much time for SEGA to bring it up to par and instead, just ported the 360 version over.
Now, the two consoles have different architecture so a straight port with no optimisation would result in what you're seeing with the PS3 Bayonetta. You can't just port a game from one console to the next and leave it at that.
SEGA have said that they're looking in to patching the long loading times. Otherwise, I wouldn't be surprised if Sony/SEGA couldn't have the time to optimise the game for the PS3 as there is next to no time to sort that out. Also, shortening loading times and having to fully fix the game engine are two totally different things.
I guess we'll see come release.
Oh wait, this game is being made by Platinium games?
That might be the first good thing about the game in my book, since I DID enjoy Madworld on the Wii.
Still, I've said it before, I'll say it again, Bayonetta's voice makes me want to strangle kittens, and I'm usually a peaceful person. <_<
Also, OUCH , that you had to pay 70 euro's for a game in your own country Silent. That's just ouch....
The achievements better be worth it. ;D

Jarlino, the director is Hideki Kamiya, the guy who made Devil May Cry, Resident Evil 2, Okami and Viewtiful Joe. Unless you're a man with no eyes, you take note of what this guy is making. :P
Platinum Games have a very talented bunch, including Shinji Mikami - the daddy of Resident Evil.
Unfortunately being "the guy who did this or that" doesn't do it for me, unless the name's Norio Wakamoto.
Just because Lord of the Rings was a great movie, doesn't mean that Steve Jackson's King Kong was, etc.
I now have a definite grudge against Bayonetta, because they could have been making a spiritual successor to Viewtiful Joe, like how Blazblue is to Guilty Gear without having the licence! D8

XD ye well, i wanted it badly so i didnt care bout 10 or 20 € more ^^
About the problems u talk about this game has, BOTH versions have tearing issues at some points of the game, which u will only notice when theres no fight goin on. The loading times, cant say much bout it, ive got the 360 version and i have installed it to my HDD so its loads fast. But hey, long loading times is somethin the ps3 mostly has :p Except the loading times its the same game, almost same graphics ( you wont notice a difference while playing ).
Last thing i wanna ask, is germany the only country selling it ?

Not that I find Peter Jackson's consistency comparable to many game directors, but that's irrelevant. However, I disagree entirely with your comment. Nor is saying that because one thing is good, the others should be. To grasp that idea, you have to look at the person's CV and make a judgment for yourself.
Just because Lord of the Rings was hugely successful (and good), District 9 is one of the surprise contenders for film of the year and Lonely Bones is a dead cert for an Oscar in the future doesn't make Peter Jackson one of the chosen few who you take notice of? Nuh uh. There's one thing having to like said amount of media but there's another thing acknowledging the talent and relative products in order to make a judgment for future products.
I think the reason why I brought up Hideki Kamiya's relevance is that EVERY game he has directed has been nothing short of amazing. Maybe it's because he hits the right spots for me, or because he knows what he is doing and is consistent. I appreciate talent.
Devil May Cry - The pioneer of the new standard of hack and slash action gaming from which the likes of God of War and even Bayonetta derive from.
Resident Evil 2 - The most successful Resident Evil title ever (in terms of a single version) and arguably the best in many a fan's eyes (although I disagree).
Viewtiful Joe - Best 2D brawler I've ever played and a cult fav. I know you like this one, haha.
Okami - One of the most gorgeous games of the last generation (and even now if you count the Wii port). One of the most innovative titles in the last 10 years too.
Not sure what you like out of those, but Bayonetta is already being regarded as one of the best games of the generation from those who have played it, the media and even their grans. To me, that's a another top trump in Kamiya-san's repertoire.
For me, his CV makes him one of the most influential and talented people in the industry. THAT - for me - is why "the guy who did this and that means he's one to watch" is a very valid status to give him or anyone in his position. Shinji Mikami is one of the other guys I have huge admiration for. That's why I look forward to his new Horror project for Platinum Games.
It's nothing out of the ordinary to take notice of people in the entertainment industry who have done amazing things in their chosen forte. "Oh look what he/she did, you should take notice of him/her".
It's how one person goes from being a nobody, to being a somebody. It's how you take notice and how you derive a general concept for their future. Considering Hideki Kamiya has excelled in a variety of genres, there's no doubt that he's back with a bang in the sub genre he himself established.
/end Kamiya brown-nosing. :P
I'm going to get it on release day, I don't care about other people's opinions towards games anymore, I play what I want to! Kane and Lynch: Dead Men just happened to be one of the best games I've ever played, yet all the reviewers hated it! There's actually a funny story as to why I picked it up in the first place...
My only problem with Bayonetta is the character's head is too small and she looks out of proportion, I just wish that people would stop trying to pick apart games to the finest little detail and just enjoy them for a change!

Yeah, i also really liked Kane and Lynch, its was fun, the story was good and main characters were great :).
That reminds me why i dont like bayonetta. Developers should focus on the main character to be appealing to the gamer, bayonetta is just full of herself, always cool, you always know that you will win and i dont like that. I like the feeling that you are too vunerable, like kratos died in god of war, i was like: noo, dont die or solid snake in MGS4 was always barely alive, i just like that.

A brilliant attitude to have. If I had listened to reviewers, and even users, I would have ended up without one of my favourite PS1 games (Alundra) and would have bought a game that was way too over-hyped (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare + sequel).
Just ignore the moaning people who seem to hate all games too...I'm sure I saw one of those around here somewhere...

Did u play the full game ? Play on Hard or on Ultimate Climax and you will soon know that you wont win everytime, you will die very often actually.
You dont like the "over the top" athmosphere, tons of cool moves, comedy, sexuality etc .... thats a typical japanese game. Its like an anime. The story on bayonetta is somethin not even to care about, its about the gameplay, moves, funny moments, non stop action etc, and i think in those things mentioned, it is one of the best games ever developed.
In an anime you can clearly see what is happening...
Unfortunately being "the guy who did this or that" doesn't do it for meExactly, it's not important what you did, but what you WILL do.
I just wish that people would stop trying to pick apart games to the finest little detail and just enjoy them for a change!A total mess where you only need to press randomly 3 buttons... is not funny.
"Oh wait, this game is being made by Platinium games?

Just because it was made by Platinum Games doesn't mean it will be good. *rolls eyes*Yes, but if someone made something good in the past, there are reasons to expect something good in the future.
Obviously, that opinion can change("The second album is the most difficult in an artist's career", say a great italian singer).
I never been interested in Bayonetta. Casually, I red a thread in this forum about it.
I loved it. Later I found out that the man behind it, is the man behind Devil May Cry. I really loved it.
Later someone in that thread said that the game is not so good... I didn't believe him.
If now I hate it, and I am happy he is not in Capcom anymore, it's all his fault.
I don't know why I wrote it... I won't press backspace...

3 Buttons ? Y ( triangle ) for melee, X ( square ) to shoot, RT ( R2 ) to avoid attacks. That is only the basics. If youve played on amateur on easy, then i have to lol at you cus in these difficulties the attacks come out random, in harder difficultes u have to actually press more and different buttons to do a certain move.
EASY? What EASY means?
Oh, and now you remember me, I don't think I could see differences between automatic and manual mode...

No, you dont understand what i was trying to say.
Im not saying you will always win, i said bayonetta looks(her personality)like she will always win, she is always full of herself, even in the opening sequence in the train, when that voice whispers to her she´s like: hmmm, ok, ill exit the train now and say something cool :D

Oh, and now you remember me, I don't think I could see differences between automatic and manual mode...
Amateur - > Easy -> Normal -> Hard -> Ultimate Climax
Amateur and Easy, combos will come out automatically, for example with the Shuraba ( katana ), the Ian-Jutsu, on the mentioned difficulties its a random move, on normal and upwards u have to hold Y ( triangle ) to do it. ( Remember, this is just 1 example of many ).
On Ultimate Climax, there is no witch time, so it gets even harder.
But if u dont understand what i mean, save ur time quoting me cus then theres no need to argue.

^^ Ye i know what u mean but its the style of the game and its unique in its own way. They way all things i mentioned are in the game are perfect for this game, but wouldnt work alone in any other game i think.
Amateur - > Easy -> Normal -> Hard -> Ultimate Climax...
I know what easy means... -_-'
Different people like different games, I can't stand RPGs but I still respect that Final Fantasy is probably a really good game. Can you all just stop arguing over a difference in each others' taste?

No.
Btw, FF is indeed a great series, i downloaded 2 weeks ago final fantasy VII from PSN(its my first final fantasy game) and its amazing!
Final Fantasy VII is the best of the worst.... those that are played from PlayStation era. Final Fantasy VI is the best, the seventh game is below it in every aspect.
Even under cut-scene aspect,
when Terra start to fly around the world
is the best scene I EVER saw in any videogame, only Mode7 but so full of passion, that is indelible in my mind. The first time I saw it, it was only 4 years ago so I'm not talking as an old man.
Try it, you will not repent.
i just downloaded final fantasy VII as well and the music is awosme!
i also got the Bayonetta demo and it blew my mind, to bad amazon wont let me order it until jan 2010. :(
EDIT: i know people are getting into a debate about following a talented game designer/director or following companies. I just want to say that if i play every single game by a company and i love them, you bet i'll buy the next one.... no matter what. (for my case it's Insomniac games)

Wha, FF7-10 are by far the best FFs. Of course 6 is great, but it had so many problems for me, such as pacing issues towards the end, that it can't be better than the ps1 games.
The cut-scenes from ff6 are better than the ones from ff7? Was there even proper cutscenes in ff6?
...ok, I'll go back on topic now.

sooo true!!!
but i dont particularly mind that because it's sortof who she is. it's not like she doesn't realise, but she's doing it purposely over the top. just like when she walks......... hilarious

Ive just finished Prologue - Chapter 5 on Hard and i must say its 50% harder then normal, but also kinda easy :p At the beginning i was gettin owned but after a few fights it was ok, more techniques used = harder to get hit imo, its fun on hard, a good challange ^^
