Bioware and Lcasarts have announced that a new star wars MMORPG will be coming out called Star Wars: The Old Republic Set 300 years after KOTOR 1 so far its only on PC but Bioware said it might come out on consoles in the future.
I have been waiting for this anounement for a long time.
I am not a PC gamer but I would buy this on PC (should run on my high end PC fingers crossed)
Loving the idea, but Im staying sceptical until theres gameplay footage and actual info out.
If itll be anywhere near KOTOR1s level of awesomeness, Ill play it though.

I wonder if they are going to cut KOTOR 2 out of the canon? Considering it wasnt made by BioWare...
Im not sure if its a continuation of the series, or just set in the same universe. I also expect the graphics to change quite a bit, considering its so far from release.

With the Star Wars Universe, the games/books/films/comics are technically all part of the same continuity.
Which you probably know full well. But either way, this still leads to the question of whether they will scrap KOTOR2 as canon or not? Even if this game is not a direct sequel to the KOTOR games, the inclusion of KOTOR2 or non-inclusion of KOTOR2 could change everything completely.
Sorry, when I said continuation of the series I meant a direct continuation of the KOTOR series and not of the Star Wars universe, though they are all connected together. Thanks for pointing that out TZM, Im off to slap myself now for making such a stupidly obvious mistake. :p
