I have installed the game and everything runs fine. All of the intro movies and menu music plays with no problems. However when I am in game and racing the sound is what I can only describe as quite simply noise. There is no clarity of engine sounds between my bike and the others. It just sounds like a lot of random noises all played at the same time. It is truly terrible.
I have the Creative XFi Titanium Champion on Vista. All the other games (including ironically MotoGP 07) sound superb but not this one. The noise is that bad that I cant stand to play it with the sound on.
Has anyone got any suggestions as to what I can do?

I Have the same problem as Unholydog........If you drive good enough and take a good lead you drive on your own en dont hear the other bikes, but when you pass them when you are in the neighbourhood within the track the bad sounds are back. Very bad and very anoing. Capcom must look at this problem and bring some updates to it, because it makes the game less fun to play. I had try everything to change things in the options from windows Vista and the game. I installed the newest drivers and there is no solution.....please help us!!

Hi guys, Id suggest that you contact tech support feedback@capcomeuro.com with your dxdiag file, it might be something just as simple as drivers needing updating.

Change audio options to 16 voices and you hear fine.

To be honest (and I dont consider myself thick) I did not realise there were other settings for the audio, I thought there were only 32 and 64 and 3 settings for the speakers. It is not obvious when going through the options

I have changed the speakers to 5.1 and not surround and it has solved the problem. Well for me anyway.

Ewouttje, when you start the game you get the loading screen which allows you to set the game options (select language, video settings, config graphics, audio settings, network).

Select the audio settings tab.

The are three options, one selection box for disable sounds and two drop down menus for voices number and speaker configuration. If you select either of the drop down menus you can scroll up and down you can change the settings. This is the bit that was not obvious to me.

Hope this helps

Ewouttje, it was only when superbike834 said to change the settings to 16 voices that I started looking properly.

No problem, as long as it helped you out.

If the developers are reading this then it would be helpful to change the options screen to show all the options or change the selection screen to that of the graphics settings where you simply select your option. Just a thought.

hiya thanks for the info here really helped with the ambient noises sounded like I was stood in the pits at donny while they were warming the bikes up.

:P

although still I get no ingame music once racing, in the menues the music is fine and the sound fxs are brilliant but I get no actual music while racing.
