Yea, I saw this the other day on CVG.
I'm pretty much sold anyway. I loved the first game, and it was really awesome (though I went through on hard when I first got it, and the end boss was easy compared to the many situations they throw you into, during the entire course of the game).
Really looking forward to this, and it'll be interesting to see how Isaac survived the ending of the original.
I guess they could always put it down to a dream sequence of a past event in his life. The first game could be his memory and recurring nightmare, but the sequel could be what is actually happening in his life right now, and how he's learned to deal with it all.
Besides, from what I read on the sequel....the whole entire galaxy or universe is being threatened, so if anyone can do it, it's either Isaac or Mario (what? They both stomp on things to kill them....well mario jumps, but that's not the point :p).

I'm not really that fussed either way, I played a demo of the first game and thought it was meh. not really into survival horror games

Here you go:
US magazine Game Informer has gone on sale, spilling a ton of beans on Dead Space 2. Naturally no major US mag release goes unblogged and the Rely on Horror site has divulged a wealth of details on the eagerly anticipated horror sequel.
We've selected some of the juicier highlights for your delectation, but if you really want an in-depth analysis, head on over to Rely on Horror. Naturally there's a bunch of spoilers ahead, so beware if you want to keep your Dead Space 2 playing experience pristine. Anyway here we go:
Dead Space 2 will be set three years after the original Dead Space.
The action won't be confined to a single ship like the Ishimura this time. Instead the outbreak of Necromorphs happens on a densely populated space station.
Zero Gravity has changed radically too, Isaac will be able to control the direction of his flight and start drifting through space, but he'll also be able to shoot in mid-air. Win!
A big aim for the design team is to make Dead Space 2 'scarier, but with better pacing', and also to include more epic moments.
Most awesome of all, multiplayer (woot) is teased! You will be able to 'strategically dismember your friends'.
Seems Dead Space 2 is shaping up nicely and we can't wait to don our pressure suit and wield a plasma cutter again next year, when the game is due for release.

Yeah, I read up on the main content that appeared in the latest Game Informer in the US. Game sounds bigger and better than the first, really.

The demo doesn't really do the full game any justice. Sadly it only gives you a glimpse of the action segments, with little reveal of the storyline or horror aspects of the game, which more than make up for the relatively repetative action segments.

The Marker drove Isaac slightly insane, making him see things that weren't there...so it's probably a given that the Necromorph at the end of the game wasn't actually there.
